Welcome to our modern Midland retreat! Our house offers modern amenities and a hot tub for relaxing after a great day of activities! Our cozy home is a haven for winter sports enthusiasts. We are 20 min from Mount St. Louis, 30 min from Horseshoe Valley, and 60 min from Blue Mountains, Explore history at Martyr's Shrine, St. Marie Among the Hurons, and Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, all within a 5-min drive. Discover the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility in a quiet neighbourhood. The space Welcome! We invite you to stay in our cozy, pet-friendly home in a quiet Midland neighbourhood. The house offers three bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, each with a queen-sized bed and a TV. This is a cycle friendly home! We have a garage that is available to store your bikes over night. The house is conveniently located minutes away from Simcoe County trails and within a 5-minute drive to nearby attractions like Marty's Shrine, St. Marie Among the Hurons, and Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. We are approximately 20 minutes from Mount St. Louis, 30 minutes from Horseshoe Valley, and 60 minutes from Blue Mountains. The space Located along the picturesque shores of Georgian Bay, our end-unit townhouse offers a lot of natural light. The private yard is a perfect space for your furry companion to explore and play while you enjoy some relaxation time in the hot tub. The cozy living space nicely blends with the dining room, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The kitchen is well-appointed with a stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. All kitchen essentials are provided. We advocate for eco-conscious practices, urging guests to recycle and compost and minimize the use of packaged products. Welcome to Midland on Georgian Bay. All guests must be registered at the time of booking. Extra guests including day visitors are not permitted. The home is NOT a destination for parties, buck and does, bachelor and bachelorette parties, exceeding the guest limit, staying up late and being loud or rude. We respect our neighbours and want to make sure they are not disturbed or disrespected. We thank you for being the best guests ever! Please note, we have indicated that the house is not suitable for infants and children. This is due to the fact that the house is not child proof and there are two sets of stairs without baby gates. We cannot be liable for any incidents that occur if children are onsite. The beds on the upper floors are raised (with a bed frame, box spring and mattress) and may be difficult to get in and out of for anyone with mobility issues. We do not provide step stools in case they are needed. The bed in the basement room is a normal height. Pets are permitted as long as they are added to the booking. Pets are NOT permitted on any of the beds. If you do wish to have your pet on the beds then we request that you bring your own bedding (ours are light colours and we'd like to keep them that way) so that our linens don't get stained or accumulate dog hair. Please ensure your pet is watched at all times and does not damage anything or cause a disturbance to the neighbours. They must be on a leash when outside and please pick up after your pet on the lawn as well. There are many exciting adventures waiting for you in the area. They include Saint Marie Among the Hurons which was Ontario’s first European Community served as the headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron-Wendat people; Martyrs' Shrine which is a national holy and historic space honouring the lives of the Canadian Martyrs; the Wye Marsh , which is National Wildlife Area that was established in 1978. It is designated a Provincially Significant Wetland by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources; The Huronia Museum is located in the Little Lake park in Midland. The museum consists of the museum building and the Huron/Wendat village. The museum is open year-round and has nearly one million objects and receives some 20,000 visitors each year. There is a shopping plaza with Walmart and No Frills grocery stores within 5 min drive. You can also find Boston Pizza and Stacked (a Pancake House). Fast food restaurants are also located there. Tim Hortons and the Liquor store are 5 minutes drive away. Playground is located 2 minute walk right in the same subdivision. We are located 7 minutes away from the Georgian Bay waterfront that has a nice walking and biking paths and 5 minutes from Little Lake park, where you can find disc golf, tennis courts and a small beach. If you are looking to visit Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, which was a French Jesuit settlement in Huronia or Wendake from 1639 to 1649, the land of the Wendat, it is located nearby. It was the first European settlement in what is now the province of Ontario. The Wye Marsh is a wetland area on the south shores of Georgian Bay is also within minutes and worth while a visit during summer or winter months. In the same vicinity, you can visit a historic Martyrs Shrine, which is a Roman Catholic church in Midland, Ontario, which is consecrated to the memory of the Canadian Martyrs, six Jesuit Martyrs and two lay persons from the mission of Sainte-Marie among the Hurons. You are also less than 10 minutes away from two major shopping streets in Midland (King St and Highway 93), where you can find a variety of grocery stores, clothing, restaurants, a library and souvenir shops. Pack your bikes in the summer to cruise along a beautiful Georgian Bay trail, which is part of over 160km long Simcoe loop. Don't forget your alpine skis to experience cross country skiing at the Mountain View Ski Centre in Midland (about 10 min away).
