The Apple Loft - Strete

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish, recently renovated one bed cottage set a stones throw from The Coastal Path and some amazing South Devon beaches. In winter months, a wood burner, large luxurious bath, and underfloor heating warming the slate floor, will ensure that you're cosy and warm. Located in the pretty village of Strete, this 16th Century cottage is bursting with creature comforts, history and character! The ideal romantic getaway, with modern touches throughout. The space The Apple Loft is nestled within the historical farm buildings with a personal parking space including electric arc car charging. A private entrance that opens directly into the living space with natural slate floors and underfloor heating, which means warm toes when making your morning coffee! The wood burner is the heart of the space takes the evening chill away and heats the house up to a toasty glow. The living space is fitted with everything you could need, including washing machine, dryer, nespresso coffee machine, wine fridge etc. Upstairs the original beams frame the king-sized bed. The natural wood continues into the bathroom, with an opulent roll top copper bath. The bathroom also included a walk-in shower. The apple loft doesn’t have a garden, however it is located close to many coastal walk to the beach straight from the front door! Please be aware that as the Apple Loft is an older property we do get the odd 8 legged guest, we try our best to ensure they leave no evidence but they are very quick in producing cobwebs. We understand that some couples might like to bring their little ones to The Apple Loft but we would like to make it clear that the property is not kitted out for babies or toddlers. We do not have stair gates or a way to close the stairs at the top or bottom, the stairs are uncarpeted and do not have a railing. We are sorry but the fitting of your own stair gate is not permitted. There is no child safety devices (plug covers/fire guards) and we hold no responsibility for any accidents that occur on the property. We charge a £25 per night fee for any additional guests, this is to cover additional towels, laundry and cleaning services. Other things to note This is not an in-person checking, but there is support if needed from local hosts. Please note that we are now charging for use of the EV charger, to use it you need to reach out to the hosts to activate.
