The cottage unfolds over two floors, with two inviting bedrooms on the first floor that open up to breathtaking views of the majestic green mountains. On clear winter days, the snow-covered peaks of Trishul and Nanda Devi grace the horizon, offering a view that is nothing short of magical. Downstairs, the living and dining area exudes warmth and comfort, with a working fireplace that invites you to curl up with an aging book or savor a cup of warm ginger tea, lovingly prepared by the attentive staff. The decor, tastefully curated with beautiful art themes, enhances the warm, calming vibe that permeates the entire space Outside, this mountain home offers spaces designed to make the most of the natural surroundings. The front patio is ideal for morning yoga sessions and the breath-taking views serve as an inspiration for writers and poets. A backyard provides a versatile space where your furry friends can play, or where an al-fresco breakfast can be set up, allowing you to start your day immersed in the crisp mountain air. The Room's To birders' delight, Hushstay x The White Peaks features two cozy rooms named after locally found avian visitors - Magpie and Woodpecker, that can accommodate up to a total of four adults. Both rooms offer naturally well-lit spaces that encourage a lazy lounge on the plush bed with a book or making use of the study table which can come in handy as a remote working station. Each room is done up keeping elegant sensibilities in mind that are not only visually appealing but also functionally adequate. Rest assured your slumber here promises to be as sound as the ones back home. Other things to note Meals: All veg-meals of the day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) are included in the room tariff as per the menu shared. Snacks and Non-Veg dishes can be ordered from the menu at an additional charge. Meals are prepared by our in-house chef and are made of delectable homemade local cuisine made of fresh fruits and vegetables grown in the surrounding orchards. A menu is shared upon booking confirmation. We request all our guests to inform the staff about their meal preferences well in advance. We have a fully equipped kitchen that is meant only for the staff. If you have any special preferences, you may instruct the staff for the same. Please follow the meal timings: Breakfast: 8.30 am - 10.30 am Lunch: 1 pm - 2.30 pm Dinner: 8 pm - 10 pm House Rules: Check-in time: 02:00 PM Check-out time: 10:00 AM Slow and soft music is okay, but please do not play loud music. You are in the middle of nature. Services of the staff are available until 10:00 PM We are a pet-friendly home stay. We charge no boarding fee for pets. However, we urge you to ensure that pets are well-behaved and do not cause any damage to the property or the people. We are happy to organize home cooked meals for dogs, for which we charge separately and we need prior intimation about the same at the time of booking. We follow a strict no-smoking policy inside the house. You may ask the caretaker for an ashtray and smoke outside the house if you need to. Sustainable Travel: We do not provide mineral water bottles or aerated drinks and encourage our guests to avoid or take back their plastic garbage. Clean drinking water in bottles is provided. Water: At White Peaks, we've tried our best to preserve the natural fauna, native trees, and plants. Water is gold! We recycle our grey water and harvest rainwater. Guests are requested to use water judiciously and ensure that there aren’t any leaks or taps dripping. If you do notice something, please let the staff know immediately. We do not have showers in our bathrooms. Accommodation: This place is offered exclusively to only one group at a time, the price varies depending on the number of guests. Please select the exact number of guests while booking. Rooms are offered on double occupancy. If you are 02 guests, we will charge you for one room and the second room will be kept locked. Electricity: Electricity is usually not a problem, however, being at an offbeat location, if there is an unprecedented power outage, we have inverters as power backup to keep the lights and some power points running. This might also offer you an opportunity to switch off and gaze at the starry night sky. We promise you will not regret it. Please note that like any other home in the mountains, we do not have an air conditioner at the property. The White Peaks has been designed in such a way that there is proper wind circulation if the windows are opened in the afternoon. Besides, we also have ceiling fans if you feel the need for the same. The cottage is located near a high-transmission electric pole. However we have taken all due precautions to ensure safety. There are additional charges for Bonfire/ Fireplace to be paid at the property. We can organise separate accommodation for drivers or male house-helps. Please inform us at the time of booking. Charges are additional. Outside guests are not allowed during the stay. The property is only accessible to guests who have booked with us. Wifi and Connectivity: We have a WiFi connection that is good enough if you are planning to work from Hushstay x White Peaks. There is a good 4G connectivity for Airtel and Jio users, unless the weather is bad.
