Villa Il Carrubo - private beach

What was a mooring for the Benedictines of the nearby Abbey of Cava de'Tirreni in the year one thousand overtime became our personal access to a private beach in the 1960s. The Villa was built in 1964 by our grandfather Alfonso. Our parents loved to fill their house with people and food, sharing every occasion with their dearest friends. Our love for simplicity in all things that are beautiful and good, is the aim we pose ourselves so that our guests can live an unforgettable experience. The space The Villa, situated in the Fuenti area, an enchanting place at the Southern gates of the Amalfi Coast, is at a very comfortable travelling distance from Salerno station. Passing the Fuenti area Amalfi is only 35 minutes away by car and Positano about an hour. The Villa can be accessed by a red bricked paved stairway from its private parking lot which then leads down to the main entrance, offering both tranquility and privacy. The private penthouse is easily accessible via the same stairway over a small bridge. It is at the top floor of the villa and has a large terrace from which you can admire the breath-taking view of the Gulf of Salerno in all its splendour. Further down the stairs, the sleeping area can be reached, where four bedrooms are located, each with its own bathroom. All rooms have access to the embracing balcony, from which you have a stunning view of a corner of the Mediterranean sea. On the bottom floor, the large lounge, with adjacent bathroom, tiled with blue ceramics dating from the 1960s, is considered the beating heart of the Villa. Why not enjoy your breakfast , lunch and dinner while admiring the azure crystal sea and its mesmerizing colours on the large extensive terrace. And of course take advantage of its private beach which is only, thanks to some steps, a short descent away. Guest access The villa has a private parking lot accessible from the Amalfi SS163 road through a gate that leads to a private alley inside the residential complex. The parking lot is located at the end of the private road, next to the gate of Villa Il Carrubo. Villa Il Carrubo is located in a strategic position. It is 15 km from Amalfi and just over 30 km from Positano. Moreover, the Cilento coast line is also quite close heading down South of Salerno which is only 10 Km from the Villa. Paestum and its fascinating and extremely well preserved Greek temples are just a one-hour drive. In the opposite direction, Pompeii, one of the world’s most famous and extraordinary archaeological sites, is about 30 km away and the metropolis Naples is just over 50 km.
