Apt "silver light" in best non-touristic location
Description
Lovely apt (2 rooms) in the 19. century house located on the garden level (semi-basement). Ideal for a SHORT stay of up to 5 persons. Families with kids are welcome. PROS: vibrant & non-touristic location + bedlinen & towels + hairdryer + stable WiFi + cooking facilities + cool air in summer + public transport to downtown + parking (7€/day) + check-in at night is possible + babybed (if needed) CONTRAS: located below ground level - no door between rooms - no washing machine - no a/c - expensive The space Berlin has a fame of "cool city", "city of freedom", "exceptional city, which deserves undivided attention". It´s not that sophisticated as Paris and not so posh as London, but the city also has its own taste and colours, which you´ll never confuse. And as the apartment is located in the heart of the most prestigious district of West Berlin (Steglitz Zehlendorf), which is rapidly being gentrificated, rebuilt and changes its face every year, I decided to create an apartment for guests, which would correspond the surrounding. I tried to create something really cool & extraordinary, not just to convert a former basement into a residential space, but into a place with its own unrepeatable charm. That´s why this apartment has a special target audience: it´s a place for modern and arty groups of travelers, who know what "coolness" means! Especially A) families with kids, B) honeymoon couples, C) business travellers, D) visitors of Steglitz We are not that much happy with groups of friends. The experience showed, that people lose control of themself quickly and easily :( It´s a place for those of you who is ready to pay for: + coolness of real Berlin & creative solutions in design + easy accessibility to the center of West Berlin (125 m to the next subway station) + the opportunity to stay together in one space with family members + cleanliness The apartment has its own charming history: it used to be a little local archive in the basement part of the house. But life didn´t give any chances to this small enterprise and it was closed during corona lockdowns. I decided to take this place and convert it into a stunning apartment for guests. The apartment consists of 2 separate rooms: the bedroom and the living room with a kitchenette. Both rooms are designed in calm warm colours with a lot of love to details. In the BEDROOM you´ll find 3 separate single beds (90x200), a little rack to hang clothes, a couple of night tables and a couch. As the space is situated below the ground level, we installed floor heating system - don´t worry about cold feet. The walls are decorated with pictures of Berlin in black & white. The LIVING ROOM was planed to be a place for chilling and dining. It has 2 main zones: a kitchen zone and a sleeping zone, which are splited by the table for 5 persons. The kitchen zone is just a little corner, which is not really suitable for real cocking: it´s equipped with induction cooking field, fridge with freezer, filtered-coffee mashine, cattle, toaster and microvawe. Please, don´t expect a top-kitchen from "Vanity Fair". The sleeping zone in the living room is determined by full-sized double bed (140x200), where 2 adults would feel absolutely comfortable. There´s also a huge mirror in the room to reflect sun light and provide enough light even during dark days. The BATHROOM is equipped with modern shower cabin, WC and wash basin. Other things to note PARKING: there´s a leveled parking near the house - Düppelstrasse 23, 12163. Costs: 7€/24 hours. Like in many cities around the world, Berlin also charges a City Tax of 7,5%. You can find more details on the official Berlin website. Please note that the City Tax is collected separately, as it is a local government requirement that is not included in Airbnb’s booking system for Berlin. This tax is mandatory for all guests and must be paid directly upon arrival. You are welcome to leave the amount in cash on the kitchen table when you check out — whichever is more convenient for you. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any question. Thank you for your understanding.
