The tent home a combination of canvas and wood, brings the solution for connecting luxury with nature, without the normal amenities of a typical home, as the lights are run off solar and plumbing is substituted by a composting humanure outhouse. A spacious, comfortable and stylish Off The Grid escape to immerse yourself in the outdoors while staying comfortable indoors. Glorified camping, a perfect romantic getaway. Everyone is welcome! This secluded tent is located a few minutes walk from a small permaculture ranch, were WorkAway volunteers, and WOOFers, learning the ways of sustainable living and alternative lifestyles. Located on a 120 acre property, bordered by BLM land. You will be a few minute walk from a cliff band for bouldering and watching sunsets, and a short 15 min drive to great mountain biking, hiking, and town night life. The tent provides a comfortable queen size bed, an outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner stove top, and a kitchen counter top for food prep, a desk work space (perfect for writers), and a clean and sustainable outhouse. Along with solar power to charge phones, computers, a fan and lights, as well as a record player to fill your musical needs (however not all chargeable at the same time). There is no running water at the tent, however drinking water and water to clean up with will be provided for your stay. You will also be equip with kitchen utensils, pots and pans, basic cooking supplies (oil, salt, pepper and spices), and coffee and tea. We will provide a cooler for any food you might want to bring, however *PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN ICE* *There is no shower at the tent, however you are always welcome to visit the Permaculture ranch a short walk away to use their facilities. Just be aware these are not always available. ****This is an off the grid space, so be aware there is no air conditioning. There is a fan you can use, run off solar. This space is perfect from early morning till about 11am and then from around 4pm on. Mid day can be a bit hot and I suggest going out on day trips to explore or go adventure. *Heads up* The tent does not have heating. You if you are booking in late September or October just be aware of the temperatures dropping. I have plenty of warm blankets to keep you cozy. *Important Note* Check in times are between 3pm to 8:00pm. Due to the seclusion of this location, check in times are only between 3pm and 8:00 . Please arrive during these hours when the sun is still up so that you can familiarize yourself with the land, the tent and the amenities. Here on the 120 acres you will have plenty of privacy and access to lots of land to explore. Upon arrival I will greet you and show you the way to your Tent, as well as give you some helpful instructions on certain aspects on how things work. In addition to your stay if you are ever interested to learn a little bit about peramaculture, join us for dinner or would like to participate in learning something new The ranch (just a few minutes walk away) is more then happy to welcome you. We are always excited to meet new people and invite them into our home. Your neighborhood is the view of the Ute Mountain, the smell of the sage brush and the visiting humming birds on the porch. Located about 15 minutes from the town of Cortez. Here you will find any amenities you might need, like a grocery store, laundry service, restaurants, gas stations, and night life. Parking for the tent is located at the ranch, just a short few minute walk from your tent. We are happy to help with moving luggage or anything else you might want with you.
