This bright one bedroom cabin holds a rustic charm set in a forested area, located just out of the town of Golden, BC. As the smallest of all the Wild Wood Cabins, the layout of Deer Crossing is cozy and compact, perfect for two guests. There is an open concept bedroom upstairs with a queen sized bed and washroom. Downstairs has the kitchen and living area sharing one open space. A pull-out-couch is included for an extra guest. Two covered decks also allow for more enjoyable times outdoors. The space The cabin area includes a fire-pit out on the yard and two covered decks with patio furniture. Firewood and an axe are provided nearby in a woodshed for guests to use. An inviting four person hot tub sits off of the back deck. Deer Crossing is one of eight nightly rentals on our property, the closest cabins located about 50 feet away, still in a forested setting. Our property is large and we as your hosts also live nearby, yet out of sight. Guests are welcome to come say hi or enjoy their own private space. We are available for questions, supplies or emergencies. For adventure seekers the local ski hill, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, is only a 20min drive away. In summer they operate a mountain bike park, hiking and a grizzly bear refuge. Two local white water rafting companies are a 5 minute drive down our road. The info center is also close by for adventure planning as Golden is in the midst of beautiful National Parks. Guest access Deer Crossing cabin has its own private hot tub located off of the back deck. This hot tub is maintained regularly. There is a shared sauna to be used along with other guests. This sauna is located about 100ft away from the cabins in a little hidden forested area. The sauna is for guests to operate themselves, so the fire in the wood stove will need to be lit before the sauna is used. Other things to note Deer Crossing has slightly steep stairs to access the bedroom and bathroom. If stairs are hard for you, please consider this. Check us out at Wild Wood Cabins Golden.
