Balenbouche Estate is a renowned guesthouse, organic farm, heritage site and family home. The 70-acre grounds feature a plantation house, yoga barn, and 18th-century sugar mill surrounded by ancient trees, pastures, and wild beaches. Dining, massages and tours are available. The pitons, hot springs and waterfalls are a short drive away. All our eco-friendly cottages (Waterlily, Banyan, Almond, Frangipani, Calabash and Moringa) are built without screens and cooled by the tropical breeze. The space Frangipani is a private, charming cottage built with reclaimed wood in the traditional style of a Caribbean chattel house. The cottage offers a king-sized bed and spacious bathroom with a natural stone shower, as well as an open kitchen and dining area on the back porch. The front porch overlooks the expansive tropical grounds. If you prefer not to cook, we also offer meals at the plantation house on our beautiful veranda or served to you at your cottage. Guest access This charming cottage and surrounding private 70 acre property is accessible to guests. Two beaches are within walking distance. Breakfast (US$ 15) is served daily and dinner (US$30) is offered several times a week at the Plantation house, by prior reservation. Other things to note Our buildings do not have air conditioning or screens, as they are built in a tropical, traditional and eco-friendly style.
