The space The Victorian neighborhood was built to be The Beautiful part of the City. Its Park and gardens were planted with 350 varieties of flowering trees and bushes. It was described in the Savannah Morning News in the 1800s as “Cottages and townhomes of moderate size which will not be too large for a small family or too small for a moderate-sized one: houses that will suit a pecuniary class of people who are not by any means wealthy, but who are in point of respectability and intelligence ranked with the best.” The Chelsea House is newly restored and redecorated, it is now a Jewel Box, 5-Star, Super Host property and it’s our pleasure to 'Welcome You'. When you arrive you are greeted by an Oak tree and a Tulip tree both are hundreds of years old. The shade at The Chelsea makes her outdoor spaces wonderful. The property is entirely fenced which makes it the best vacation spot in Savannah if you have a child that likes the outdoors, and or a four-legged family member can also vacation with you. The people, who built this to be their home, were our first Americans. Space was thought of differently then, and a whole family lived in this modest space. Today this space is a perfect and efficient place to stay for 2 people or 2 people with a child of 4 to 10. It is easy to make food or you can concentrate on spoiling yourself touring and enjoying some of Savannah’s new great eating experiences while you are out. Or order in! We are right on the Bike Path, you can bring your bikes or rent them. The Park is only 2 and 1/2 blocks away, where there is a great playground for children. A Cafe in the Park and on Saturday mornings there is a Farmers Market. If you love to walk, the entire historic district of Savannah is about 2 miles square - and everywhere you walk is beautiful. Your furry friend / pet / four-legged family member is welcome in my home as I like pets more than people (shhh). The pet fee is simple per night fee Savannah is a pick up after your pet town, so please do so. While I love all animals. extremely large pets (elephants, giraffes, and bison) cannot be accommodated - my apologies. We ask that you limit guests to no more than two small or one large pet.
