(But please don't remove or additional charges will apply ) The owners, a noted actor and a respected New York restaurateur, have spent hundreds of thousands reimagining the home and lavishing it with a unique, modern aesthetic that pays homage to its original style. Both levels and nearly every room of the 2-story, 3 deck, 3-bedroom, 3-bath design open to the outdoors. The main level hosts a great room with vaulted ceiling, custom tile flooring, skylights, and fold-away glass doors opening to the deck. The new kitchen has stone countertops, custom cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, an oversized island with prep sink, and a nook with bay window. Beamed and tongue-and-groove ceilings lend character, while wood floors, wainscoting, designer paint and picture windows give added appeal in select areas throughout the home’s approximately 3,320 square feet. The residence is situated minutes from Idyllwild’s village shops, boutiques, art galleries and charming restaurants, if you're not out exploring the many hiking trails or world famous rock climbing. Lockbox can be used for check in when not available for in person. Face-time check in otherwise. Idyllwild is about one mile (1.6 km) in altitude. Idyllwild is flanked by two large and one smaller rock formation, Tahquitz Peak (with nearby Lily Rock) and Suicide Rock, which are famous in Southern California rock climbing circles, and Mt Atlas. You can even see the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. The center of town is full of shops, art galleries, restaurants, and a movie theater. Car, bike, hike or sledge ( snow depending) There is a few local cab firms in Idyllwild, look online for the hours as they can be sporadic We are ideally located only 2 hours from LA, San Diego, Orange County and only 1 hour from Palm Springs. Idyllwild was originally known as Strawberry Valley because of the wild strawberries that grow there, especially beside the creek that runs through the town, Strawberry Creek. Moments from the house you can walk to the most spectacular and unique view point that is essentially in the 'back garden' that is the San Jacinto National Forest.
