We are located in Castiglione Chiavarese, a small town in the middle of the Cinque Terre and Portofino, making Castiglione a strategic place and an ideal starting point for exploring the pearls of eastern Liguria. We are located outside the chaos of the city and the crowds of tourists, but with all the primary and essential services at your fingertips. Breakfast is included. The space The HOUSE, on two floors, offers an independent entrance at street level. Upstairs, you will find two bedrooms for hospitality, a bathroom for the exclusive use of guests, and a panoramic terrace. The recently renovated bathroom is shared with the other room, but if the second room is not occupied, it will be at your disposal. It is equipped with a shower, bidet, toilet, sink, and supplied with shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, towels and bathrobe. The terrace offers a breathtaking 180° view of the valley and hills, ideal for admiring romantic sunsets and, on clear days, a small glimpse of the sea. It is equipped with armchairs, a sofa and tables for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or for sipping a drink. On the lower floor, where the managers live, there is a small room with two tables for breakfast on cold or bad weather days. Guests have access to a fridge, microwave, air fryer, grill, toaster, brioche warmer, dishes, cutlery, glasses, herbal teas, coffee, fruit juices, biscuits, snacks and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The building has recently been renovated, but the original floors and furnishings have been retained to offer an experience with a historic flavour. Free public parking is available nearby. Note that the house is located in front of a church, whose bells ring every half hour from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Although the windows are double glazed, the sound of the bells can be slightly heard. In addition, the staircase to access the upper floor is narrow and steep, so it is not recommended for children, the elderly or people with mobility problems. Other things to note **BREAKFAST** Breakfast is included in the rate and is offered in self-service mode, allowing you to serve yourself at any time of the morning. You can enjoy a typical Italian breakfast with a variety of homemade cakes and/or plumcakes, artisanal brioches, biscuits, biscotti, jams, Nutella, yogurt, milk, coffee, tea and fruit juices. Breakfast can be eaten on the terrace, in the small room on the lower floor or in the room. If you have food intolerances, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can meet your needs. For stays longer than six nights, a basic breakfast consisting of coffee, tea, packaged brioche and biscuits is offered. **PEGGY** There is a dog in the house, a female border collie, affectionate and sweet but fearful and wary of those she does not know, especially those who do not like or are afraid of dogs. If you want to meet her, we ask you to ignore her at least on the first day, as she does not like to be touched by strangers, especially on the head. Peggy does not have access to the guest floor. **I ACCEPT ANIMALS BUT...** I love animals, however, the structure is not ideal for hosting medium-large dogs. Pets are only accepted if both rooms are booked by the same group or if there are no other guests. Please let us know in advance if you are travelling with pets. Please note that Peggy, the resident dog, is territorial and may not get along with other female dogs and is afraid of cats. We have another apartment where pets are welcome. **TOURIST TAX** The Municipality of Castiglione Chiavarese requires a tourist tax of €2 per person per day, to be paid in cash at the time of check-in. **CHECK-IN** According to Italian law, an identity document must be presented at check-in for each guest to communicate the data to the Police Headquarters. It will not be possible to enter without a document. **LAST-SECOND BOOKINGS** For same-day bookings, at least 2 hours' notice is required to prepare the room, and check-in may be available after 10 p.m. **HEATING** Heating is active during the winter period, in the morning and evening hours, while during the day the temperature is generally comfortable.
