The Studio A stylish, relaxing space.
Enjoy easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base. 5 minutes from CHO airport. Interested in history, taste VA’s finest wines/breweries, lots of outdoor activities, hiking the Blue Ridge, eating at amazing local restaurants with top chefs, attending theater productions, or concerts, coming in for a wedding or another events, visiting UVA, or coming to work in the area short term, this is a perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring, fun or work. The space “The Studio” is located in the lower half of our home on an acre lot. It features a well lit private, inviting entrance. The property has a small wooded area, which has a creek that runs through it, and a small pond at the rear of the back yard. It is not uncommon to see deer, birds and other animals out in the yard. Enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the sunrise above the pond. In the summertime, if you leave the window open at night, you will hear frogs down by the pond and the quiet sound of water trickling. On a clear night enjoy viewing the stars. The surrounding small neighborhood is quiet, if you like taking small walks or a run, if you stay to the edge of the roads in the neighborhood, you would’ve gone a half a mile. There are only two roads in the neighborhood and only one entrance to go in and out of, so very safe for walking or running. Guest access Anything to the rear of the house you may enjoy other than the deck. At times we may be working out in the yard but for the most part we want you to enjoy your stay, so we will try to keep that to a minimum while you were here. Other things to note Within just a mile are an emergency room, 24 hour Wawa and Sheetz conveniences stores/gas stations, Food Lion and Harris Teeter grocery stores, Walgreens and CVS pharmacies, locally owned restaurants and coffee shops, fast food places, a Starbucks and banks. The Charlottesville Airport (CHO) is only a five minute drive. Within about 20 minutes you can be at The University of Virginia and historic downtown Charlottesville. James Madison University in Harrisonburg is an hour’s drive. The city of Richmond (capital of Virginia) is about an hour and 15 minute drive. You can be in the Blue Ridge Mountains within 30 minutes or put your feet into the Virginia Beach surf in about 2 1/2 hours drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway and the Skyline Drive within the Shenandoah National State Park are local favorites — both are just a half an hour drive. Two ski resorts, Wintergreen and Massanutten, are within an hour. Numerous wineries, breweries and distilleries are nestled along the foothills of the mountains and in town, all within 10 to 60 minutes. There are four former United States Presidents’ homes within 30 to 60 minute drive. Washington DC, the National Capital and the Smithsonian National Institute museums can be reached in about 2 1/4 hours.
