Please note: The entrance to the parking space is 2 meters (approx. 6.5 ft) wide. It may be too narrow for large vehicles like vans or full-size SUVs. For larger vehicles, we are happy to direct you to several paid parking lots nearby. 【The Space】 This is a two-story, 1970s-style Japanese house that we have lovingly renovated ourselves. Enjoy the unique blend of traditional charm and modern convenience. ■ 1st Floor (Ground Floor) * Kitchen & Living Area: A comfortable space to cook, eat, and relax. * Japanese-style Room ① (Washitsu): Can be set with 3 traditional Japanese futon sets or 1 foldable bed. * 1 Toilet * 1 Bathroom: Equipped with a bathtub and shower. * 1 "Engawa": A classic Japanese-style veranda, perfect for enjoying a quiet moment. ■ 2nd Floor * Japanese-style Room ② (Washitsu): A spacious, connected area combining a 6-tatami mat room and a 4.5-tatami mat room. We can prepare this room with either 3 foldable beds or 4 futon sets. * Western-style Room: A cozy room (4.5-tatami mat size) with either 1 standard bed or 1 foldable bed. 【Bedding & Guest Capacity】 * Please note that we will prepare the futons and beds according to the number of guests in your reservation and your preference. * The house is most comfortable for groups of 2-6, but we can accommodate up to 8 guests. 【Free Rentals (Available Upon Request)】 We offer the following items for free to make your stay more enjoyable and convenient. Please send us a message before your arrival to request any of the items below: * Yukata: Light cotton kimonos, perfect for relaxing or sleeping in. * Basic Seasonings: Salt, sugar, soy sauce, oil, etc. * Cooking Utensils & Cookware * Basic Tool Kit * Bicycles: The best way to explore the historic streets of Kawagoe! Guest access 【Your Private Space】 You will have the entire house to yourselves. The inside of the building is your own private space. 【Restricted Room】 One room on the second floor is a locked storage closet for our personal belongings. We kindly ask that you do not enter this room. 【Visitors Policy】 For safety and security, only registered guests are allowed on the property. Please, no visitors. An additional fee of JPY 10,000 will be charged if unauthorized visitors are found on the property. 【 Host Access to the Property】 Please note that the host or our family may occasionally enter the outdoor areas (such as the garden) for tasks like watering the plants, feeding the medaka (Japanese rice fish), and collecting the trash. If you would like more privacy, please feel free to keep the curtains closed. Other things to note ※This page is for long-term stays. Please be aware that the entrance is narrow at 2 meters (approx. 6.5 ft), so please park with caution. Parking is difficult for large vehicles like vans or full-size SUVs. If you have a large vehicle, we can direct you to a public coin parking lot about a 5-minute walk away (approx. JPY 1,000 for overnight parking). 【House rules】 Please follow these house rules to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for everyone. ★ No smoking inside the house. You may smoke in the designated space outside the main entrance. Please keep all windows and doors closed to prevent smoke from entering. ★ Please remove your shoes at the entrance (no shoes inside). We have prepared slippers for you. ★ To prevent scratching the floors, please do not roll wheeled luggage inside the rooms. ★ No pets allowed. ★ Our home is in a quiet residential area. Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep noise levels down, especially at night. ★ Only registered guests are allowed on the property. Please consult with us in advance if you wish to have a visitor, even for a short time. An additional fee of JPY 10,000 per person will be charged for any unauthorized visitors. ★ Meals are not provided. You are welcome to use the kitchen for cooking. ★ Please be sure to turn on the ventilation fan when cooking. ★ Please wash any dishes and cookware you use and return them to their original place. ★ Please do not eat or drink in the bedrooms. Kindly use the kitchen and living area for meals. ★ There is a brown box at the entrance for exchanging items. If you have excess trash, place it in this box and we will collect it. (Please do not use public trash bins, as guest waste is handled separately). ★ To avoid tripping the circuit breaker, please do not use the electric kettle, microwave, toaster, and hairdryer all at the same time. If the power goes out, you can restore it by flipping all the switches on the breaker panel (in the bathroom) to the 'up' position. ★ Please only flush the provided toilet paper and toilet cleaning sheets. Flushing other items may cause clogs. ★ We prepare bedding according to the number of guests in your reservation. ★ Please use only the bedding prepared for your group. ★ For stays of 2+ nights, we provide one set of amenities per guest (towels, toothbrush, water). For fresh towels, please use the washing machine. ★ Cleaning supplies (vacuum, etc.) are in the living room closet. ★ Bathroom cleaning supplies and laundry supplies (hangers, etc.) are under the washstand. ★ An iron and ironing board are in the living room closet. ★ Please hang laundry to dry either inside or on the 2nd-floor balcony. ★ Other items like a hot plate or takoyaki maker may be available to borrow. Feel free to ask! ★ Mid-stay cleaning is available for an additional fee of JPY 3,000. ★ If you accidentally damage any property, please contact us immediately. You may be charged for repairs or replacement. ★ Please double-check for your belongings upon checkout. If you leave something behind, we can ship it to you at your expense (shipping + handling fee). ★ We have 3 bicycles available for rent. Just let us know if you'd like to use them. 【Please Understand】 Our property is a lovingly renovated traditional home where you can experience authentic life in Japan. To ensure you have a comfortable stay, we appreciate your understanding of the following points. ★Neighborhood & Sounds As we are in a residential area, you may occasionally hear sounds from neighborhood construction or daily life. As these are outside of our control, please understand that we cannot offer refunds or discounts for such reasons. ★Your Comfort in the House We take great care in keeping our home clean. However, sensitivity to smells, dust, or noise can vary from person to person. If anything concerning your comfort arises, please contact us first—before checking out or writing a review—so we can do our best to resolve the situation with you. ★Bugs & Insects Due to Japan's warm and humid climate, small insects may occasionally enter the house when doors or windows are opened. We clean thoroughly and take pest control measures, but should you encounter any unpleasant bugs, please use the insecticide spray provided and let us know.
