Modern comforts make this the perfect place to stay with everything you could need and no sacrifices on comfort. The space For those that haven’t stayed in a yurt before. A yurt is a portable, round tent traditionally used by nomads in Central Asia. Its structure consists of a wooden frame covered with layers of fabric and sheep's wool felt for insulation and weather protection. Modern yurts have adapted these designs for contemporary use, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern amenities. These circular dwellings feature a skylight at the center of a domed roof, providing natural light and a cosy, spacious interior that connects guests with the natural surroundings while ensuring comfort. Welcome to our charming yurt, nestled on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. Easily accessible, this unique retreat offers breathtaking mountain views down the valley and is just a stone’s throw from the tranquil Ogwen River. Step inside to find a cosy haven equipped with a king-sized bed adorned with plush bedding, and a wood-burning stove to keep the space warm and inviting. Also includes a small kitchenette for indoor cooking. The kitchenette is equipped with an oven with microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a dining table with two chairs as well as a two person sofa, coffee table and an armchair. Outside, a spacious slate patio features a fire pit and barbecue—ideal for an outdoor cookout or an evening spent under the stars. There is also a bench with two seats, two chairs and an outdoor patio table. This area boasts some of the best views of the surrounding mountains, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation after a day of adventures. You’re never far from local attractions: the Lon Las Ogwen Cycle Path is within walking distance, and the town of Bethesda, with its array of food and drink options—including our favorite, the Ty Mo local microbrewery—is an easy walk away. Enjoy wild swimming at the bottom of our track and at Ogwen Bank. For more adventurous outings, thrilling activities at Zip World and the beautiful trails of Cwm Idwal are also nearby. Additionally, the quaint village of Betws-y-Coed is within easy reach, offering charming shops, delightful cafes, and more scenic trails. We are really easy to access just off the A5, and very close to the A55 dual carriageway too. You can even get here easily via public transport with Bodforis bus stop 10 minutes walk away. Just a short drive will take you to the beautiful Isle of Anglesey, known for its stunning beaches and coastal scenery—perfect for a day trip to the seaside. Despite its rustic setting, our yurt doesn’t skimp on modern comforts. You’ll enjoy a fast internet connection, electricity, a very good shower and a fantastic composting toilet ensuring you can stay connected and comfortable during your rural escape. Inside you have access to a small oven, microwave and kettle. Outside there is a BBQ and a little gas cooker you can use outside. Whether you're keen on hiking, cycling, exploring historical sites, or simply soaking in the views, our yurt serves as the perfect base for all your Snowdonia and Anglesey adventures. Discover a unique getaway at our cosy yurt, where the rugged beauty of the Welsh landscape meets comfortable, rustic living. Guest access The yurt is located on its own private piece of land at the bottom of our woodland (the woodland is not for guest use). Both the yurt and the outside slated patio/garden area is for your exclusive use. The space is gated and a standard vehicle is able to park inside with the gates closed. Longer vehicles may need to leave gates open. The yurt is located on a private track. We recommend driving slowly down this track as it is bumpy in parts. You can get here easily by car as we are just off the A5 and near the A55 dual carriageway. We are also very close to Bodforis Bus Stop, just 10minutes walk away.
