The space "The Raven's Nest" - stylish, yet cozy! To enter the cabin, you must go up steps, so unfortunately our home is not handicap accessible. Experience peace and quiet in the Groundhog Mountain Community of Doe Run. Step onto the large deck and sit beside the gas firepit to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while listening to the whispering mountain winds. Enter into our nest to find a newly renovated, open floor plan with a unique and stylish full-stocked kitchen, featuring a full size stove, oven, and refrigerator with plenty of space for cooking up a masterpiece! In the living room, bask in the natural lighting of the floor-to-ceiling windows while snuggles around our unique gas fireplace. Enjoy your favorite show on the Samsung Frame Smart TV or gear up for a competitive game night! On the same level, you will find 2 bedrooms, bathroom and laundry. Bedroom 1 features a queen bed, spacious closet, a sitting area, and a large window. Bedroom 2 features 2 twin beds and plenty of storage for clothes & luggage. Venture to the loft to find a King bed and dedicated workspace, complete with a comfy office chair and cozy lighting. We are pet friendly and gladly welcome up to 2 dogs. Due to allergies and scratching habits, we do not allow cats. **Please make sure to mark that you are bringing pets in your reservation, if you plan to do so. You will have access to tennis and basketball courts and quiet paved roads for an evening stroll or morning jog. Guest are responsible for bringing their own equipment. - Raven's Nest is located within minutes of Groundhog Mountain - perfect for picnicking or hiking - and only 15-30 minutes to many other great attractions, including Meadows of Dan, Mabry Mill, Galax, Mt Airy, Fancy Gap, Old Mille Golf Course, Wineries & so much more! All roads leading to Raven's Nest are nicely paved and maintained. No 4x4 drive needed, unless of course there is snow. If this is the case, we do recommend AWD or 4x4.
