Luxury 3BR+ Victorian Gem Near Michigan Central

This lovingly restored, hundred-year-old Victorian home is located less than a mile from Corktown, Michigan Central and the waterfront, a ten minute drive to downtown, and a quick walk to Mexicantown’s best restaurants, bars galleries and parks. Filled with hand-painted murals, spacious bedrooms, luxuriously updated bathrooms, a street facing sunroom, custom furnishings and more, this one-of-a-kind, cozy home comfortably accommodates larger groups but is perfect for individuals or couples too. The space This historic home was built in 1907 and recently updated to include modern comforts like central air and heat and new appliances and bathrooms. During the restoration, we sought to preserve all of the original details we could, saving and re-installing original wood trim and stained glass windows. The space has been updated with hot, high-pressure showers with high-end fixtures, a custom built-in iron tub, fast wi-fi, high-end Bertazzoni 5-burner cooking range. We vaulted some of the ceilings to open the space, creating a glassed-in sunroom with adjacent work space and a large breakfast nook with a mural above. There are also two new cast iron gas-powered, direct vented fireplaces located in the kitchen and music room that can be turned on with a flip of a switch. The house can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 8, but with so many cozy spaces it never feels too large for one or two people. The pull-out sofas in the living room each have queen-sized beds - perfect for added guests or movie nights - and the curtains can be closed for extra privacy. I call this house Grand Pinky - it's my home, studio, and evolving canvas. Every mural and hand-painted detail here has been created by me and a close-knit community of artist friends. The furniture is a blend of pieces passed down from the previous owners, things I have made myself and collected from around Detroit, and treasures from my grandmother’s home. I allow small house trained dogs on a case by case basis - so message me to discuss.
