Hooiberghut 2 in the Groene Hart

Since 2009, we have been enthusiastically welcoming guests to our farm. Meet our animals and enjoy nature in the Groene Hart. Take a nice walk or bike ride and visit the cozy towns nearby. Given our central location in the Netherlands, it is also suitable for visiting different cities. Children have a good time in our yard with the various playground equipment. Spend the night in a Haystack Hut, a luxury hut in the form of an authentic haystack, a unique experience! The space Come stay particularly and comfortably in one of our 3 haystack cabins, located in the quiet and green environment of our orchard. Our unique cabins are built in the shape of a haystack and can accommodate up to 4 people. In the cabin there are 2 bunk beds, the beds are provided with a fitted sheet and pillow with pillowcase, you only need to bring a sleeping bag or duvet (or rent from us for €6 per person). In addition, there is a small kitchenette with full inventory, cold running water, a two-burner electric stove, fridge, Senseo appliance and kettle available. Furthermore, the cabin has a dining table with 4 chairs and private toilet. Two spacious showers with underfloor heating are located in the building nearby. The dishes can also be done here. Outside there is a terrace with picnic table with umbrella and under the canopy of the haystack is a tete-a-tete bench, where you can enjoy the peace and nature, while listening to the sound of the birds and the rustling of the trees. Children have the space to play in the grassy area in front of the haystack hut. Some times our dwarf goats are also present in the lawn near the orchard. Additional to rent: BBQ (grill plate): €10.00 per day, Larger fridge (for larger groups) €10.00 per day. In the haystack hut there is an information book about location and surroundings, to make your stay as pleasant and fun as possible. It is also possible to rent all 3 haystack huts, with this you have the orchard completely at your own disposal. If this is a wish, please indicate this when booking, we will look at what options are still available. Area: Cabauw is a small village in the Groene Hart. The Zilverstad Schoonhoven is located 3 km away from our farm. In Schoonhoven there are various shops and boutiques and nice eateries. Nearby there are many cycling and walking routes, past historic buildings, ribbon construction and picturesque villages. We have various route maps available that can help with planning the perfect route here through the Green Heart. There are also several recreational areas nearby, such as Salmsteke, Loetbos or the Reeuwijkse Plassen. For a day out, think of the cheese market of Gouda, the mills of Kinderdijk or visit with children Adventure farm Molenwaard. In addition, the 4 major cities; Utrecht, Rotterdam, Den Haag and Amsterdam can be reached within one hour by car. For example, there are go-karts, a freestyler and a trampoline available for children. For rainy days, we also have a table tennis table and table football table in a separate room. Get to know farm life and our farm animals (cows, calves, rabbits and dwarf goats).
