The space The home’s main level features a large open concept kitchen, living room, dining area and a three seasons room. The modern eat-in kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals. Just bring food. Paper products, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, dinnerware, glassware, toaster, microwave, crockpot, spices and some food staple items are provided. Just outside the kitchen, you’ll find the sunroom as well as a large rooftop deck for outdoor entertaining with a gas grill. Just 4 steps down you will find a full bathroom, 2 queen bedrooms and the main bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The lower level has a queen bedroom,a double twin bedroom, a bathroom, laundry room and rec room to watch movies, dance or sleep. With a Smart TV, it’s the perfect place to hang out with friends and family. Or, chill out after a hot day at the beach. Enjoy bike trails, dune hiking, sledding, bbq shelters, frisbee golf, bootcamp, public beach, historical Aquatorium Bath House and Pavilion venues, kayaking and fishing on the lagoon, playground and concession stand with outdoor live music. The Aquatorium and Pavilion are perfect venues for weddings or large events. Miller Beach is centrally located and close to several casinos and minutes from Methodist, St. Mary’s, Community, Porter Regional and Franciscans Hospitals. Miller Beach’s new fast track South Shore Train can get you to downtown Chicago in less than 60 minutes. If you want to hang with the VERY friendly and animated locals, a 3 minute walk will get you to Flamingo Pizza and NastalgiaI promise that you will be highly entertained. They both serve food and cocktails. They both offer outdoor seating and serve breakfast on the weekends. A 15 minute walk east down the beach will take you to Wells Street Beach. They have paid parking, restrooms, great cheese burgers and a beer garden. Keep walking and you come into West Beach, Indiana Dunes National Park. There are hiking trails and a set of stairs leading to the top dune that will burn off that cheeseburger in about 10 minutes. The view from the top is worth the trip. Drive about 5 minutes into downtown Miller Beach you can visit the shops on Lake Street. The School House Shops, Indie Indie Bang Bang, Lake Street Gallery and Gardner Art Center and Sunday’s Farmers Market are worth browsing through. Flamingo Pizza, Nostalgia, Miller Pizza Station, Tacos and Tequila , 18th Street Brewery, Tiny’s Café, Caribbean Roots and Vibrations are the places to go to eat and enjoy live entertainment. Miller Pizza is the best pizza in town (they also deliver). 18th Street Brewery is famous for their craft beers, whiskey and gourmet sandwiches. If you are a fan of craft beer, this is a must. Visit Vibrations for fresh salads, vegan sandwiches, bowls, deserts, smoothies and Kombucha. They have yoga and guided meditation upstairs, an outdoor tiki bar and a secret lounge in the basement. On summer Sundays enjoy live entertainment, fresh produce, tacos, local artists and more at the farmers market located next to the Old School House Shops on Lake Street. If it isn't a beach day or you want to go sight-seeing in the city, hop on the South Shore Train to Chicago. (Train schedules are found in our guest book) The station is right on Lake Street in downtown Miller Beach. It’s a one-hour ride that will take you to museums, shopping or drop you right downtown in Millennium Station. This beach home and neighborhood are dear to us. We want you to enjoy and appreciate the space and community as much as we do. We consider you our personal guests. Because we live just a couple blocks away, we are available if you need anything, an extra cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, borrow a cup of sugar (or tequila) and give you directions to the current happenings. If you need anything, just give us a call, message or walk down the beach and find us. It’s a small beach town. We aren’t renting for the money (well, kind of). We love to host guests, make new friends and show people a great time. We want to share our unique little diamond in the rough beach town with you. It will be an adventure, fo sho!
