Nestled in the quaint village of Rakkar, we open doors to our humble abode to travellers seeking a quiet getaway in the mountains. The property is a 1 BHK with airconditioning (A private living room, dining area, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, work space, and a private porch) situated on the ground floor of a 2-storey building. We are looking for peace-loving and friendly guests who will not disturb the calmness of the neighbourhood, and are pet-friendly as our neighbours have multiple dogs. The space This property is a 1BHK house, complete with a beautiful porch overlooking our garden, an airy living room with a sofa-cum-bed and an LED Smart television, a dining room with a dining table for 4, a fully-equipped kitchen with a two-burner stove, microwave, water kettle, french press, and all standard kitchen necessities, a spacious airconditioned bedroom overlooking the fields with a king-size bed and Medium-Firm Orthopedic Mattress, a spacious almirah, a work desk and work chair, and a luxe bathroom with all modern fixtures. This is a self check-in property, which entails: No breakfast. No full-time caretaker. No luggage carrying assistance. No daily cleaning (unless asked in advance) No daily linen changes (unless asked in advance) Guests are requested to clean up after themselves as much as they can, or inform us in the morning for cleaning in the evening. Our cleaner comes after 5 PM. This is a small mountain town and there are a lot of logistical challenges that can only be handled if we are informed prior. Good communication will help us give you a stress-free stay! The house is on the ground floor of a 2-storey building and has families on the floor above and next door. Guests will have to climb/descend a small staircase of 5 steps to reach the house (This is not wheelchair friendly) The 1BHK house is fully furnished with all modern amenities and added accessories like an iron, hair dryer, emergency light and room heater. The bookshelf is fully stocked with a wide variety of books: fiction & non-fiction. We also have a few board & card games to keep you entertained. The living room has a ceiling fan and the bedroom has air-conditioning. No unannounced guests will be allowed on the property. The house has a partial view of the mountains from the porch & living room window. The house has a power backup, which, in case of a power cut, will be good enough for the Wifi, lights and fans to keep running for 6 hours. However, no heavy gadgets can be charged or used in this period. We would like to reiterate that this is part of a family neighbourhood with several families, kids and dogs living and sharing the outdoor spaces. So, guests who are seeking a “party pad” or plan on having loud late-night getaways are not encouraged to book this property.
