Bordered by woods with unpaved hiking trails and boasting quick access to the Wood City Riders snowmobile trail system, we're just 9 miles from Jay Cooke State Park and 22 miles from Duluth, offering the perfect blend of seclusion, convenience, natural beauty and modern comforts all year round. While staying on the property, you can enjoy the fully equipped kitchen, indulge in our two-person sauna, unwind in the massage chair, or soak in the tranquility on the outdoor deck. We have a variety of options to choose from for a fun game night as well! This home offers two bedrooms downstairs—one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds—and a loft with a queen bed and space for additional sleeping arrangements if needed. In the loft, revel in the open layout overlooking the main floor, and take advantage of the massage chair for ultimate relaxation. Please note that there are no window treatments, but eye masks are provided for those sensitive to light. The main floor bath has a jetted tub while downstairs, unwind in the sauna located in the lower-level bathroom, which comfortably accommodates two people. Enhance your sauna experience with a selection of essential oils available for use. Welcome to your serene escape! A few things to be aware of: • This property is not accessible. There is a flight of stairs to reach the front door, and the bedrooms are on different levels from the great room. • Although we have regular pest control services, the property is near the woods and though we try to keep the creepy crawlies at bay, there are some that succeed in breaking the rules. If you see one or two, you can escort them back outside or take care of them as you wish. If you see several, please do let me know as soon as possible so I can take care of it. • This is a 30-year-old log home with a boiler system. There are creaks in the floors in spots and sometimes the pipes make noise ("clink") for a few minutes. • We have motion sensing cameras covering the front door/driveway as well as the back door for security reasons. These are not to be covered, disconnected or altered in any way. There is a motion sensing light on the garage that follows motion to light your way up the stairs to the front door. This is NOT a camera. • We do require a signed rental agreement and it is required that the person who signs the agreement is present for the entire stay. Third-party bookings are not allowed and will result in immediate cancellation. • Many things can happen that cause someone's travel plans to change. It is highly advisable to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase travel insurance so if you must cancel outside of our allowable cancellation policy you can still be reimbursed.
