Our cozy apartment is located on the Axalp (1550 m above sea level) above Brienz. From Brienz, drive by car for approx. 25 minutes up a mountain road. The quiet location characterizes the area. In summer you will find a beautiful hiking area in the breathtaking nature and mountains overlooking Lake Brienz. In winter you can strap on your skis right in front of the apartment. The family ski resort is known for its uncomplicated operation. The space Our cozy 2.5-room apartment is located in a beautiful chalet with 4 apartments. You can park your car in the garage and via an indoor and an outdoor staircase you can reach our apartment via a short walk. The apartment is on the ground floor and has an outdoor seating area with barbecue and swing. Inside you will find a well-equipped kitchen with dishes, cutlery, pans, toaster, raclette and pizza grill, stove, oven and a coffee machine (including capsules). It has a dining table with chairs and a bench as well as a small but nice living area with TV, stereo and sofa. A hearty Swedish fireplace gives the living area a homely atmosphere. In the bedroom there is a double bunk bed (160 x 200 cm), a closet, an open shelf and a mirror. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, toilet and sink. Guest access In the residential buildings there are various common rooms in house C you can play table tennis, in house A there is a foosball table. Other things to note In the small shop on the Axalp you can buy the essentials. For larger purchases, there are two supermarkets in Brienz as well as other shopping opportunities in Meiringen and Interlaken. The Axalp is a fantastic hiking and biking area in summer. For example, via the well-known "Schnitzlerweg" it leads to the idyllic Hinterburgsee. The Standbad Brienz always invites you to cool off and even for the physical well-being is provided in the restaurant. Other summer destinations: Brienz-Rothorn funicular, Lake Brienz boat trip, Giessbach Falls, Ballenberg Open Air Museum, Brienz Wildlife Park (free), Aare Gorge Meiringen, Muggestutz hiking trail Hasliberg. In winter, you can fasten the skis right at your doorstep. The Axi-Land, where the Swiss Snow Sports School is located, is directly opposite the apartment. Skiing equipment can be rented at the sports shop on the Axalp. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or sledding are also available as winter sports activities.
