Just steps to private & town beach! Pet friendly!

Half-block to quiet private beach (where you can bring your pet in summer, unlike the public beaches) or head to the amenity-filled East Haven Town Beach with its white sand and summer concerts, just a five-minute (really) stroll from the front door. House is spacious and newly renovated with absolutely everything you need. Why stay at a hotel when you can rent this whole house instead? Well-behaved pets welcome for extra cleaning fee. Pls ask! The space The house is large and tastefully decorated, but comfortable. Nothing is so precious that you have to worry about breaking anything. There's carpet upstairs and on the staircase to second floor. Rooms are large and most of them have high ceilings and skylights. (The skylights have shades, but the host also provides eye masks to make sure that the light coming into the house won't disturb your sleep.) We've tried to add everything we like to have on hand for a weekend of cooking meals for friends and family. Kitchen comes with basics like oil, butter, salt, pepper, spices, sugar, tea, coffee and pods for the Nespresso and Keurig. There is also a drip coffee maker, with filters. Not only do we have the essentials like a corkscrew, but also all kinds of things you might use, like corn on the cob holders and wooden skewers. We've recently added an air fryer. And there's a nice Ninja blender set. You even get to take fresh herbs and whatever is ripe from our vegetable garden! Large tv in the family room makes it a comfy place to relax. The internet is fast and the TV has YouTubeTV with something like 100 channels. There are some board games provided and a poker set, and there's some beach reading as well. Downstairs bathroom has a bidet attachment and also a jacuzzi tub, which is awesome after a day on the beach. We just added a shower in the downstairs bathroom and one outside, to get all the sand off outside the house. The two bedrooms upstairs are very comfy. The master has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds that can easily become a king when pushed together and fitted with new sheets and a special kit that's there in the bedroom. We have recently added humidifiers in the bedrooms if it gets dry. Upstairs bathroom has a new stall shower with subway tile. If you look out that window, there's a nice view of the water. The third bedroom on the lower level has a queen bed, couch, and smart tv. it has its own air conditioner, as do the upstairs bedrooms, kitchen and the first floor family room. Solar panels means you can use the AC and not feel guilty. The backyard is fenced in, so good for kids and pets, and very private. Fire up the Weber grill and serve your meals under the gazebo. Set up the corn hole set and have some fun! There's also a wagon if you'd like to pull your gear over to the beach (though it's four short blocks to the town beach, we have guest passes that allow you to park there, too). We have loads of beach gear and towels, and there's a large capacity washer and dryer for you to use for free at any time (we even provide detergent). And the best part of the whole house is the map of the world in the dining room. It's a real curiosity piece, and guests have already been saying that it has sparked some lovely conversations. Guest access You will have the whole house to yourself, except for one locked closet in the master bedroom and the boiler room. That includes the backyard and garage. The driveway holds several cars and we have street passes for others. Self check-in. Your host will be easily available by phone and text. Other things to note Please be considerate of neighbors and so no loud late-night parties at private beach or house, please. Please message about pets and early check-in. Well-behaved, non-destructive pets are welcome, but there is an extra fee added to cover deep cleaning afterwards. We have bowls for animals and a liter box on hand for your use. We also have equipment for small children like a high chair and gates for the top and bottoms of stairs. There is also a pack 'n play with both changing table and bassinet attachments. And toddler-sized eating implements. We want every guest to be happy!
