Sleeping barn on Icelandic horse farm in the countryside

Great for: Riding holidays and vacations with horses, Meeting with friends and families, Road bike camps, Workations/professional meetings. Our sleeping barn is at the heart of our riding stable. It has four lovingly furnished double rooms and a spacious dining and living area with home cinema. In the middle of the Siebenmühlental idyll, the beautiful nature invites you to rides, hikes, walks, and bike tours as well as all kinds of excursions. The space Overall Our sleeping barn has four bedrooms for a total of 8 people, a large, open-plan lounge with a spacious kitchenette, a dining area for up to 12 people and a cozy living area. Ground floor The high-quality kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, Thermomix and of course all kinds of dishes and cooking utensils. Whether a sociable dinner or Netflix evening, thanks to the large wooden table in the center of the room and the living area with projector, anything is possible. Two bathrooms with sink, shower and toilet are right next to the lounge area. TOP FLOOR On the upper floor are the bedrooms "Frosti" (two single beds, each 90 cm*200 cm), "Mökkur" (two single beds, each 90 cm*200 cm), "Nökkvi" (large 180 cm*200 cm double bed) and "Freydis" (large 180 cm*200 cm double bed). A total of 8 sleeping places are available. Each room has been individually furnished with a lot of love for detail. The rooms not only bear the names of our most loyal equine companions, but have also been designed accordingly in terms of color scheme and decoration and are therefore truly unique. Two more bathrooms with sink, shower and toilet are also located on the upper floor. History The entire sleeping barn has been built, furnished and decorated by us mainly on our own. From the idea and planning, to hundreds of OSB boards, light switches, sockets, self-made (wash) tables and window sills, recycled and newly painted chairs, painted pictures, self-picked (dry) flowers, tied wreaths and carved curtain rods – we have put many hours of work and above all all our heart and soul into this project and are therefore very pleased to welcome guests to our cozy and modern premises. Guest access Our sleeping barn is located opposite our own apartment, which is why we also use the staircase. As hosts, we are discreet, but are always available if you have any questions or need any help. Other things to note Calling all riders and those interested in riding! :) For riders who would like to come to us with their horse, we also offer boxing places on our farm. Please contact us promptly after your booking if you would like to bring your horse so that we can reserve a stall for your horse. You will receive all prices and information about the boarding stable and the riding school from Kirsten after booking. Note - Note: The sleeping barn is surrounded by idyllic nature. However, there is always something going on on a Reithof. It doesn't stop our farm dog Chico barking, hooves rattling, horses cranking and riding schoolchildren. So if you feel like taking a taste of the real farm life, you are in the right place.
