The space Sequoia Trails Cabin is designed as a true basecamp for exploring the Giant Sequoia National Monument—where each space reflects a different part of the landscape and the experience continues even when you’re back inside. The main living area is open, warm, and filled with natural light, bringing the living room, dining area, and kitchen together into one shared space. It’s built for gathering—whether you’re coming back from a day on the trails or settling in for the evening. The walls are styled to reflect the feeling of standing among the giant sequoia groves, giving the room a calm, grounded presence. A comfortable leather sofa, loveseat, and reclining chair create an easy place to relax, read, or watch a movie on the Roku TV. A large sliding door opens directly onto the deck, keeping the connection to the outdoors close at all times. Just inside the entry, a large wall map and curated displays introduce the area and help you get your bearings. Throughout the cabin, photos and QR codes act as your own private guide—pointing you toward groves, trails, river access, and lesser-known spots throughout the monument. The kitchen and dining area are fully updated while still fitting the cabin setting, making it easy to prepare meals and gather together. The dining table comfortably seats six, creating a central place to reconnect at the end of the day. The cabin offers flexible sleeping across multiple spaces, making it ideal for families and groups. The primary bedroom features a king bed and draws inspiration from the deer that are frequently seen just outside the cabin—something guests often remember most about their stay. Upstairs, the second bedroom is designed with families in mind. Styled around hiking and exploration, it includes a twin bed and built-in bunk beds for kids, creating a fun and functional space that younger guests quickly claim as their own. Downstairs, the experience shifts into a more relaxed retreat. The second living area reflects the river and rafting culture of the region and offers a comfortable space to spread out, with seating, games, and another TV. It’s an ideal hangout for teens, kids, or anyone looking for a quieter place to unwind. Just off this space, the additional bedroom highlights the rock climbing culture of the Needles and includes a comfortable queen bed. The lower level also stays naturally cooler in the summer, making it a welcome escape on warmer days. Additional sleeping space is available with a twin bed and a queen air mattress, allowing the cabin to comfortably accommodate a variety of group sizes. Both bathrooms are fully updated, including river rock shower floors—a small but appreciated detail after long days outdoors. Outside, the property opens up into multiple spaces to enjoy the setting. The deck includes outdoor dining and a swing, making it a natural place to start the morning or wind down at night. A fire pit area invites gathering and conversation, while the rock garden and surrounding trees give kids space to explore and climb. Before your stay, you’ll receive a personal access code that allows you to enter through either the front or side door—no keys to manage and no need to coordinate arrival times. Once you arrive, you’ll have full access to the entire cabin, including all indoor living spaces, the outdoor deck, yard, and surrounding areas. Parking is easy and level, with space for multiple vehicles directly in front of the cabin. Guests also have access to a private spot along the Tule River, just a short drive away—offering a quieter place to relax and enjoy the water. From the moment you arrive, everything is set up for you to settle in quickly and start enjoying your time in the mountains. An additional full-size mattress is available in the downstairs bedroom closet, with bedding (mattress pad, sheets, blanket, and pillow) stored on the shelf above. The cabin is located inside Sequoia National Monument, offering direct access to some of the most scenic and less crowded groves and outdoor experiences in the region. While Airbnb may display an incorrect distance to Sequoia National Park, the park entrance is approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes away. Many guests choose to visit both areas during their stay. Some of the area’s top destinations are much closer: • Trail of 100 Giants – about 45 minutes • Stagg Tree (one of the largest trees outside the national park) – about 25 minutes • Belknap Grove (along the river) – about 5 minutes Beyond the groves, the surrounding area is known for exceptional outdoor recreation, including world-class river rafting on the Kern River, rock climbing at the Needles and Dome Rock, and canyoneering at the Seven Teacups. Guests also enjoy hiking, fishing, cliff jumping, swimming in the rivers, exploring caves, and spotting wildlife throughout the monument. The nearby community offers convenient amenities and a welcoming mountain atmosphere, including restaurants, a small market, gas, a church, and a large park that hosts group activities and serves as a popular sledding hill in the winter.
