Description
Cozy private room with a queen bed, original wide pine floors, and charming details in our 200 year old home at Wild Grace Farm. Come un-plug and get closer to nature at our beautiful farmhouse on the hill. We are so excited to share this special place with you! We purchased this property in 2017 and are currently restoring it into a working farm. We are entering our first season as a vegetable farm and invite you to check out our farm and farm store market when staying with us. The space Our home was built somewhere around 1800. We are in the process of restoring both the house and the farm to it's former glory. In the past, this property has been used as a farm, homestead, bed and breakfast, and private residence. Please note that we are on a dirt road. It is well maintained but if there is inclement weather, it can get a bit muddy. About your room: 1 queen bed with down pillows, dresser, closet, and views of both the lake, barn, and gardens. Extra blankets, heater, A/C, and fan all available upon request. Guest access In addition to your room, you have access to our living room, parlor (what we call the area off the kitchen with our wood stove in it), dining room, downstairs bathroom (with laundry), three season porch, and kitchenette (located in our mudroom). You are also free to walk through our fields down by the barn or peruse the gardens and patio adjacent to the house. The second floor and the kitchen are off limits. We ask that you stay out of the woods, unless accompanied by us. If you choose to explore outside, you are doing so at your own risk. Please be aware that there are ticks in this part of New England. Bug spray should be worn when venturing outside. During your stay We interact with guests as little or as much as you'd like. We work out of our home, so we are generally around. During your stay, you will likely find us working outside on various farm projects or down at our farm store. Feel free to ask us advice about things to do locally. If you are looking for some peace and quiet, we are also more than happy to give you your space. Other things to note We provide a toaster oven, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, and mini fridge as well as plates, cutlery, and cups in our kitchenette. Please note that our kitchen is off limits to guests. If there is something that is not provided in the kitchenette that you need, let us know and we will see what we can do. If you would like a home cooked hot breakfast, we would love to cook you something delicious for an additional fee of $15 per person. Please let us know if you would like to add this option when booking your stay with us. Gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian/vegan options available. We have a lovely dog named Gabbi. This is her home too. She may bark when you arrive, but is friendly. If you do not like dogs or are allergic, this is probably not the best place for you to stay.
