Home in Truckee

My cute 1 bedroom house built in 1898 in downtown Truckee is in a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from bars and restaurants - great location for a ski vacation or hiking/biking home base. Relax in the fenced-in backyard with bbq and hammock. The kitchen is equipped with a new gas stove, all the basics (plus spices, condiments, staples, etc.) I've recently added lux vinyl floors, lighting, and built a new front porch/patio. A well-behaved dog is welcome and will appreciate the dog door : ) The space My 650 sq foot house is located in a quiet local historic neighborhood two blocks above downtown Truckee. You can walk to parks, the Legacy Trail on the Truckee River, restaurants, coffee shops, and businesses. Walk down to Coffeebar, Squeeze In, or Marty's for breakfast in about 8 minutes. You can find trails up Trout Creek into Tahoe Donner from my door as well as mountain bike from here as well. My house has new floors, new stove, new kitchen paint and hardware and lighting, all which have helped to upgrade the rustic modern vibe. The house is shotgun style and cozy, inviting you to sit in front of the natural gas stove in the living room and read a book or plan your next outdoor adventure in the sunroom on the loveseat. Perfect for a couple or someone looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains. The bedroom has a queen bed and a sofa in the living room provides a comfortable option for sleeping. I am a writer so lots of bookshelves display a collection of good reads. Guest access Guests have access to whole house. Other things to note My fenced in backyard has a deck, hammock, umbrella, table, and chairs with a bbq - great place to hang out and share a glass of wine with friends. When I'm in town, I teach writing workshops in my living room here and people always compliment the welcoming feel of my house. The house is shotgun style so you walk through each room to get to the next: kitchen, dining and living room, bedroom, sunroom, and bathroom off the dining area (shower only).
