A small, modern studio with its own bathroom, kitchen, a king size bed and a bunk bed as well as a small terrace. Zermatt is car free! The space Address: Luchernstrasse 6 COMING FROM THE TRAIN STATION: You can come by bus (the green line and the red line are also good), which leaves opposite the train station and is free. You have to get off at the "Kirchbrücke" stop. From there it is about 5 minutes' walk to the apartment. Or you can also come by taxi from the train station. It takes 5 minutes and costs 15-20 CHF. It is a 10-minute walk. BUS Buses are free of charge. The nearest bus stop from the apartment is 200 meters away. SKI LIFT Walking distance to the ski lifts: • Sunnegga 800 m (10 min) • Klein Matterhorn-Zermatt cable cars 850 m (9 min) • Gornergrat 900 m (10 min) • Ski bus 200 m (3 min) Even faster by bus😊 Nearby you can rent ski and hiking equipment: Matterhorn Sport, Slalom Sport STUDIO/ROOM/APARTMENT The studio is located in the middle of the village in the Steinmatte district. All shopping facilities, as well as mountain railways and train station are in the immediate vicinity. Many restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores are within 5 minutes walking distance. All stores are open 365 days a year until 6 pm. The supermarkets are open until 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The studio is on level -1, right on the corner. Next to the door you find the key safe where your key is located. The code will be sent to you a few days before your arrival via message on the Airbnb platform. You can store YOUR LUGGAGE in front of your apartment or next door, in the ski cellar until check-in and also after check-out! 😊 WASTE MANAGEMENT
♻️ The recycling station is located 20 meters to the left of the main entrance on the street. Here, you can dispose of paper, cardboard, bottles, cans, and food waste. Please recycle as much as you can! Let's protect our environment! ♻️ Since we handle waste collection ourselves, we provide 1 garbage bag per week❗️ If you need more, you can purchase additional bags at nearby stores. Please note that they are orange-colored bags!️ Thank you for your understanding. Guest access The main entrance/Haus Olympia is closed from 10 pm to 6 am❗️You can unlock the door with the code. ENTRY CODE: A few days before your arrival, the code will be sent to you via the Airbnb platform. Laundry service on request😊 We offer a laundry service. You can give us your clothes in your bag, and we'll return them within 24 hours. The prices are displayed on the wall in the studio. Linens and towels are provided. EU-Swiss adapters too. BAGAGE You can store your luggage in the ski cellar or in front of your apartment door before and after your arrival. SKI Skis and ski boots must be stored in the ski cellar❗️ It is located on the -1st floor/basement Other things to note OBLIGATORY KURTAX in Zermatt is 4 CHF/person/night. Children between 9 and 16 years pay 2 CHF. This must be paid directly on site in cash or by card. The city tax is 4.00 Swiss francs per night for all types of accommodations. It needs to be paid before check in❗️ BAGAGE You can store your luggage before and after your arrival in the ski cellar or in front of your apartment door. Ski and ski boots must be placed in the ski cellar❗️ Smoking in living area is strictly prohibited❗️ All the apartments are equipped with smoke detectors. There is a fine for smoking! For each additional guest, the fee is 30 CHF/night/person BREAKFAST Breakfast is not offered. 50 m away there is a bakery with daily fresh pastries. RACLETTE & FONDUE Due to the strong and persistent odors they produce, the preparation of raclette and fondue is strictly prohibited in the apartment. It is nearly impossible to ventilate the space properly after using such equipment, and we also do not provide raclette or fondue sets in any of our apartments. CAR You know it well, Zermatt is car-free❗️ Only with special permission from the canton police you can drive in! So, you should park the car in Täsch (easiest at the train station, it costs 16 CHF/day) and take the train ride to Zermatt. The train runs every 17 minutes
