Charming, peaceful Maranacook waterfront camp nestled in the pines
Built in 1920, this cozy, peaceful, renovated camp sits on Maranacook Lake. Nestled among majestic pines, it features a private dock and deep-water frontage and a private dock. A tandem (2 person) kayak and 2 paddle boards are available for guests. The 2-bedroom camp (sleeps 6) has a well-equipped kitchen, inviting living room, and spectacular views of the lake from the screened-in porch and deck. Just 2 ¾ hrs from Boston, 1 hr from Portland, ME, and 1 ¾ hrs from Portsmouth, NH. The space On the 1st floor, there’s a full kitchen with original pantry and farmhouse sink; bathroom with new shower; and living room with direct access to the large screened-in porch and deck. The view from the porch is mesmerizing; from your perch among the trees (you'll feel like you are in a tree house!), you can listen to the loons while you drink your morning coffee, read a book, dine at the country-style table or play board games, and take in the beautiful sunsets in the evening. For chilly mornings, there is a heater in the living room that warms the first floor up in minutes. There is also a small desk and computer monitor if you need to work during your stay. The 2nd floor has 2 sunny bedrooms: a master bedroom with queen-sized bed and dresser, and a guest bedroom with 2 twins, bunk beds and a dresser (sleeps 4). Ceiling and window fans help to cool off the rooms at night in the summer months. ***PLEASE NOTE*** Linens are not provided (sheets, pillowcases, and towels) since we do not have a washing machine or dryer (due to shoreline zoning regulations). Pillows, blankets and quilts are provided. If this poses a problem (i.e., you are flying), you can contact the host to inquire about renting linens.
