Welcome to the cabin with the best views in all of Arnold. Many guests return year after year. A generator ensures that power outages do not affect your ability to enjoy your stay. Every room is light and bright. We back up to open forest where you get a sense of privacy. A private hillside with provided sleds allows kids many hours of fun. The large kitchen is well stocked. A complimentary bottle of wine awaits you. We are very close to Spicer SNO park and Bear Valley Ski resort. The space The home contains three bedrooms (2 bedrooms + loft) and sleeps 6 comfortably. NO STAIRS! The driveway pulls right up to the front door. We are one of only a few properties having no stairs to navigate to the front door. HANDICAP-FRIENDLY Our property is handicap and elderly friendly! There is a queen room on the entry-level floor making it easy for handicap or the elderly to enjoy the house without climbing stairs. Access to the great views from the backyard deck also requires no stairs or steps. Elderly individuals will find the home easy to navigate and vacation in. THE KING ROOM (UPSTAIRS) The large upstairs bedroom features a Cal King-sized bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, and a private balcony to enjoy an early morning coffee while looking out over the 80 mile view. Be sure to leave time to admire the one-of-a-kind 4' X 6' stained glass window, a centerpiece decoration of distinctive beauty created by a locally-renowned artist. As you drift off to sleep, enjoy the streaming-in moonlight from the two skylights that adorn the pine-covered ceiling. The large upstairs bathroom contains a two-person jetted tub looking out on the forest view, dual-sinks, a makeup vanity, and a large walk-in shower. LOFT In the loft area you will find two twin beds, a private work-station, a custom bench along the window, a new 9' shuffleboard, and a 4-person card table to enjoy family games together. We also have a plethora of games to choose from. THE QUEEN ROOM (DOWNSTAIRS) The downstairs bedroom features a queen-sized bed with a Tempur-pedic plush pillow top mattress. Lots of windows contributes to a light and bright atmosphere. The lower bathroom is equipped with a nice bathtub-shower combo. FULLY EQUIPPED KITCHEN The fully equipped kitchen means there is no need to eat out, making it easy to feed your hungry crew. The kitchen is stocked with plates, dishes, bowls, coffee mugs, and all kinds of baking utensils. Other kitchen items included: rice cooker, crock pot, blender, electric mixer, griddles, cast iron pans, frying pans, wok, and a collection of baking dishes and pans. The hanging spice rack provides just the thing to give your dish that extra kick. Cooking and baking supplies allows you to create those special celebrations away from home. We typically stock flour and sugar. DINING ROOM A nicely furnished dining area with seating for 6 completes the picture to converse and enjoy meals together. The two swivel chairs at the counter provides additional seating. (8 seats in total) Guest access You will enjoy the fairly-level driveway that pulls up to the front door, about 15 feet away. The cabin is handicap and elderly-friendly! We are one of only a handful of properties having no stairs to navigate to the front door. The front door is wider than 32" making it easy for wheelchair access. The driveway pulls right up to the front door. The house is handicap and wheelchair friendly. Elderly individuals will find the home easy to navigate and enjoyable to vacation in. Unloading is fast and easy. There's no long stairway or long walkways to lug your bags and groceries to get to the front door. The entire house is yours to enjoy. As of 2024, we now have garbage service at the property. The garbage is picked up by our cleaning service at the end of your stay. We also belong to the Big Trees Village HOA where you can access the large swimming pools, ping pong tables, shuffleboard, and other activities. The HOA is 3 minutes from the cabin. It is open from late May through Sept 3rd. The mudroom with it's private entrance, is a great benefit when coming in from the snow where you can change your snow clothing into something more comfortable. Other things to note Fast WiFi: 450 Mb/sec download speed. Fully-equipped kitchen. Easy pull-through parking. There is 100 feet of downhill sledding in the backyard. You don't even need to leave the cabin to enjoy the snow. We typically have 4-5 sleds or saucers that kids can use to have hours of fun playing in the snow. We typically have a "snowman kit" for use containing all the parts for kids and families to make a picturesque snowman. You'll be glad you came.
