Description
Quiet, simple, cozy yet spacious. I love Seattle and I love sharing Seattle with guests. My goal is to host travelers in a simple, quiet, affordable spot so they can spend their time (and dollars!) exploring all the region has to offer. This private suite is in the quiet Broadview Neighborhood ~8 miles north of downtown Seattle and ~2 miles north of Ballard/Greenwood. This is a great option for groups who want to stay in north Seattle, but away from typical hotels/motels on Aurora. The space Simple, Quiet, Family Friendly space awaits you. This is the basement apartment of a private home in Broadview - It offers very light street traffic with fantastic views as you arrive in the neighborhood, and friendly hosts to provide as much, or little, interaction as you desire. Private Suite includes kitchenette, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath. Master Bedroom has queen memory foam bed plus twin day bed. Second bedroom has 2 twin beds. Living Room has a comfortable queen futon couch. There are a few areas with low ceiling height (6’3”). Laundry is shared, and we plan our use around guests. Bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap. Apartment is on the 28X bus line which continues through Ballard, Fremont, Seattle Center and onto downtown Seattle, tho I still recommend a car, as the bus only runs M-F during commute hours. The number 5 bus which has very good service to greenwood, downtown, Seattle Center, is a half mile up the hill. You will have a dedicated parking spot directly in front of your private entrance. I have an extra car for rent for $18/day on Turo car sharing website. It is a 2006, four door PT Cruiser, not fancy, but it runs well and will get you there. If you think you’ll need this, communicate with me during the Airbnb booking process and I’ll help you navigate to that listing. Guest access WiFi. Cable TV. Laundry. Let's see... considering that the header for this section is "what guests can access" I'll go for truth in advertising.... You could say you can "access" the normal sounds and cooking smells of a quiet family at home. We are separated by a stairwell and a locking door, but all the same you may hear us walking above you. You may hear me calling my kid to come to dinner or feed the dog. However, because of how sound travels, we rarely hear sounds from guests. Other things to note 1) We are a half mile from Carkeek Park with fantastic hiking trails, beach, playground and trains. 2) We are two block from Dunn Gardens, a public/private botanical gardens planned by the Olmstead Brothers, see their website for times and tours. 3) We are 1.5 miles north of Greenwood neighborhood, an up and coming neighborhood with brewpubs, live theater (see TaprootTheatre ) restaurants, library, coffee shops, boutiques and more.
