Remember 10 years ago when AirBnB was the perfect way to find a cozy, well-appointed pad in a cool neighborhood? I'm bringing back the good old days by renting out my 2 BR house that will feel like home away from home within seconds! If you're looking for a comfy space in a safe, quiet and WALKABLE part of Cleveland look no further! You're just blocks away from of a ton of great food, drink and nightlife options, transit, and the easygoing city-meets-suburbs feel that makes Lakewood so great! The house is a 950 square foot single-family home that includes everything you’ll need for a comfortable. It is not a duplex/apartment/condo or other type of unit with shared spaces. The entire place will be all yours. Unfortunately the house is *NOT* ADA accessible. If you have mobility issues I do not recommend booking my property. There’s a set of stairs to climb to get in, and both bedrooms are on the second floor. The entire house is yours, however the basement and the closets in the two bedrooms are off limits. In case this is not 100% clear in the listing, you will have the entire home to yourself. I will not be around during your stay, nor will you be sharing any part of the house or property with other guests, neighbors, etc. Messages through the AirBnB app are preferred, however my phone number will be available once you book. Please *text first* if you would rather contact me via phone than through the AirBnB app. Established in 1889, Lakewood is one of Cleveland's original "Streetcar Suburbs" that was developed well before cars were commonplace. As such, it doesn't feel anything like a suburb as we know it these days. It's only 4 miles west of downtown Cleveland, and Lakewood's shop-lined main streets (Madison and Detroit) feel more like a city than a sleepy hamlet where commuters go to hit the Applebee's then pass out at 9PM. 90% of the businesses here are local. Bars, restaurants and quirky shops abound. Lakewood is a popular next step for hipsters who want a little more room, a lot less noise and just as many food and beverage options as the city. Within less than a mile of my house you'll find: -Mahall's (indie rock club, brunch, and bowling) -The Shore (famous dive-y brunch spot) -Winchester Tavern (live music and brunch) -LBM (a metalhead cocktail bar that's one of the best in the whole city) -Becks Pool (a chill municipal pool that's less than $5 a head for non-residents) -Peppers (a laid back modern Italian bistro) -No Class (legendary CBGB's-esque punk rock sh*thole) -The Funhouse (boozy slushies and shots so cheap you wonder if they're legal?!) Other nearby attractions: -Edgewater Park (home of the famous scrip Cleveland sign for the selfies) -less than a 10-min walk to an RTA light rail station that offers quick access to the airport, downtown Cleveland, and all points between Included is one paved, on-site parking spot. Street parking is convenient, close, plentiful, and you don't need to deal with permits, street sweeping, etc. That said, you will be absolutely fine here without a car. This is one of those unicorn Cleveland neighborhoods where an RTA light rail stop (red line) is within a quick walk (about .7 miles/10-ish minutes), which means you can get just about anywhere via the train. If you're arriving by airplane and have business downtown this is a solid option! Check out the W 117th/Madison stop on a map and see for yourself. The train depatts every 15 minutes. Including walk time you can get to the airport or Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse/Progressive Field in 30 minutes. The Ohio City/W 25th station is about 20, and that's a great gateway to a very fun and action-packed neighborhood with absolutely terrible parking ;) And of course you don't even need to leave Lakewood to have a blast! There's no shortage of restaurants, bars and shops within less than a mile of my house. This house has a small set of stairs to get in the main entrance, and the bedrooms are on the second floor. There’s a half bathroom on the first floor, and a full bathroom on the second floor. This is a freestanding single-family home, not a duplex/condo/apartment/etc. There are no spaces that are shared with neighbors, other guests, etc.
