The owner provides access to three acres of private fields plus around Melsonby village there are many bridle paths so it is perfect for exercising, a short walk takes you to the village pub (100 metres) and there are many delightful villages nearby with pubs serving good food should you feel like eating out. The space If you are a foodie, head to one of the local farm shops with delis and tearooms, where you will see farm animals grazing in the paddocks. The historic market town of Richmond is just 5.5 miles away with much to offer. Explore the cobbled market square or stroll up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Head north to Barnard Castle (12.5 miles), its streets lined with independent shops, cafes, art galleries and, of course, Bowes-Lyons’ family treasure museum. This charming holiday cottage is designed with comfort in mind, offering a peaceful retreat for couples (and being close to country wildlife). Head to the cottage via the pretty cottage garden, and step inside the sitting room where you can relax while watching your favourite film or series in the evening after a long day exploring the local area.
