Located only 2 hours from New York City, our quaint waterfront cottage, will provide the perfect escape for you and your family. Overlooking the CT River, the yard includes a deck, 2 patios, a grill and direct river access.  The cozy interior features an island kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and marble countertops. A living room and dining room overlooking the water, a first-floor bedroom adjacent to a full bath, and two addition bedrooms upstairs complete this cozy waterfront home. The space Newly renovated and located only 2 hours from New York City, our quaint cottage style home, located directly on the majestic Connecticut River, will provide the perfect escape for you and your family. Overlooking the ever-changing vistas of the Connecticut River, the River House features a classic shingle-style exterior with a beautiful waterfront outdoor environment complete with deck, patio, and direct Connecticut River frontage. The cozy traditional style interior features three bedrooms and one bathroom classically styled trim work, a completely reconfigured open concept floor plan and a well thought out and functional kitchen design with an island, a full suite of stainless-steel appliances, and marble countertops. A first-floor bedroom along with marble bath, a large dining area overlooking the water, and a cozy family room complete the first-floor layout. The list of improvements to this tiny house is extensive. The rear of the house was in total disrepair and had to be rebuilt from the foundation up. The mechanical systems were also replaced and relocated to a higher elevation to comply with flood requirements. All new electrical, plumbing and HVAC were added. The first floor was reconfigured and redesigned to create a more open living arrangement and capture the beautiful river views from the kitchen and dining areas. The Original pine flooring was preserved and refinished where possible, and new six-inch pine flooring was added where needed. A completely new kitchen and bath were installed to finish off the extensive interior renovations. On the exterior, the house was completely re-sided in white cedar shingles, however the saw tooth gable detail and original star medallion were preserved, the deck was rebuilt, a covered patio was added, and finally the entire landscape was redone. Whether you are looking to spend time reconnecting with family and friends, or you are traveling to Connecticut for an event or for work, the River House is the ideal location for your time away. Guest access Guests will have access to the first and second floor of the house, as well as the entire yard, patio and deck. Access is contactless though a keypad, and a code will be provided on the day of arrival. Access to the basement and the garage are restricted.
