The space Cloud9 Lake House sits high above the valley at 2,400 feet, surrounded by mountains, forest, and open fields that stretch for miles. Wherever you look, it’s mountain peaks on the horizon and open sky above — quiet, wide, and endlessly beautiful. From the house, you can walk down to your own 118 feet of private lakefront. Mornings are calm and peaceful, the water still as glass. By evening, the lake glows with sunset colors that reflect across the hills. You’ll often have company here; a family of deer crossing through, wild turkeys wandering by, and hawks drifting overhead. When the sun goes down, stargazing takes center stage. The altitude and lack of light pollution reveal more of the night sky than most people ever get to see. Light a fire outside, roast marshmallows, and watch the flames flicker under a sky full of stars — it’s the kind of simple joy Cloud9 was made for. The house itself offers rustic comfort and simplicity. Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a weekend with friends, or a peaceful family stay, Cloud9 offers the perfect mix of nature, privacy, and connection. It’s a place to reset and rediscover quiet beauty. Note: 4WD with proper snow tire is required to book from November to March. Absolutely no hunting, discharge of firearms, or use of weapons is permitted anywhere on the property under any circumstances. Any violation will result in immediate removal from the property and will be reported to the NYS DEC and to Airbnb. Any resulting contamination, biohazard material, or disturbance of land or wildlife areas will require professional cleaning and restoration. Guests will be responsible for all associated costs, ranging from $750 to $1,500 depending on the scope of the cleanup and restoration needed. Guest access You'll have full access to the entire space and our seven-acre property, 114ft. into the lake- during your stay. In the warmer months guests are welcome to bring a kayak or canoe to paddle around the lake or fishing poles to drop a line from the lake.
