Other things to note We are located 30 minutes from the airport and the bus terminal, 27 minutes from Tikal and 45 from Yaxha, we are close to restaurants, beaches, public or paid docks, mini-supermarkets and many shops. In one minute you can have the public or private transportation station to Tikal, very close to home. This village is ideal for hiking, water activities, cycling or just relaxing. It is a reality to have dogs in the street barking all the time, remember that howler monkeys live in the forest around the house, they howl loudly, a definitely wild experience. The village of El Remate is frequently visited by tourists and in high seasons it is noisier and busier, in low seasons it is very quiet although not silent. Dogs in the street are everywhere.
