Small and charming thatched holiday cottage in Seedorf/Kuhlenbrook, located in the middle of a nature reserve between two natural swimming lakes and south of Lake Plön. Sit back and relax in this quiet, stylish accommodation. The beautiful, well-equipped thatched cottage, the terrace with its small garden, the sweeping views over the pastures (cows included), and the forests with great hiking and biking trails invite you to take a short trip or a longer break. The space The lovingly furnished house offers an open-plan living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchen and a quiet bedroom upstairs. The pleasant furnishings, the clear atmosphere and the tranquillity of the surroundings make the Reethus particularly suitable for couples and adults who value peace, quality and relaxation – in every season. Guest access You will find the key to the reed house in the key box (self check-in possible), which gives you access to the entire house. We will provide detailed information where you will find the barbecue, sun loungers and mountain bikes after booking. Other things to note Dear interested guests, We made it! Our small and beautiful Reethus got a new thatched roof in May 2024 and now looks even more charming (photos to follow). The booking calendar is now open for 2025. The area around our holiday home is characterised by forest, various lakes and hilly countryside, which can be used for hiking, cycling or water sports. Our small and beautiful Reethus with neighbouring nature reserve is located in the middle of 3 (natural) bathing lakes (Seedorfer, Seekamper and Plöner See) which can all be reached in a few minutes. If you are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. There are a few restaurants in the surrounding villages, such as the ‘Turmschänke’ in Seedorf and many other restaurants and cafés in Bosau. The surrounding towns of Plön, Eutin and Malente are always worth a visit and can be easily reached by car in around 20 minutes. In Plön, a visit to Plön Castle and a walk or boat trip to Prinzeninsel are well recommended. Eutin attracts visitors with an old town and its Castle, which are well worth a visit, in an impressive location directly on the lake. There is a weekly market on Eutin's market square every Saturday until 1.00 pm. The new theatre lake stage in Eutin is an absolute highlight with concerts and operas and definitely worth a visit. We also recommend the 5-lake boat tour, which can be booked from Plön, Eutin or Malente. The nearest supermarkets (‘Der Dorfladen’ in Schlamersdorf with many regional products or Edeka in Hutzfeld) are approx. 5 km away and easily accessible by car. The Baltic Sea (Timmendorfer Strand, Scharbeutz etc.) can be reached quickly by car in about 30 minutes. Enjoy the many beaches for swimming, or take a walk along the spectacular cliffs overlooking the sea. At any time of the year there are garden festivals, exhibitions and art markets on many estates in the area. A visit to these farms is a highlight for tourists and locals alike.
