Location : Valiyaparamba, on the N coast of Kerala, is a narrow 23.5 km long spit golf club' shaped island on the N coast of beautiful God's Own Country, Kerala. At the Northern end is the Fishing harbour entrance Pulimoot, the shored up breakwater where the Backwaters meet the sea; The Southern tip is the golf club face , the famed Seven Hills 'Ezhimala; home of the Indian Naval Academy. Phi'Shack is located on one of the narrowest bits, betwixt the backwaters and Arabian Sea. Rustic bedrooms, modern bedding, linen and very modern bathrooms on 10 cents of P'y'aradise beach space. Verandah and front yard East facing the beautiful placid backwaters barely 12 mtrs / 40 ft away, where one can catch the spectacular sunrise and healthy morning sunrays . The traditional open well provides bathing water supply after sedimentation and filtration. The airy breezy Mangalore tiled open sided common dining lounge on top (1st floor) offers views of both the Valiyaparamba backwaters and the Laccadive Sea ~ Arabian Sea, barely 20 mtrs / 60 ft away . All guests are requested to STAY SAFE while entering the waters, at their own risk. The backyard has two shower areas to rinse off the salt water and rid oneself of sand before entering the rooms and additionally one tap is located adjacent to the front walkways outside Cabin# 1. Clothesline are also in the backyard as is a concrete bench seating adjacent to the sedimentation filtration holding tank . Access to the beach is thru the Driftwood CROUCHING LEOPARD GATE via a footpath running thru my adjacent Phils'Farm coconut 🥥 Grove. ** ACCOMMODATIONS : 12 adults comfortably Phil'Shack-at-the-Back has: 1. One big room with two antique rosewood beds and a smaller Ikea cot > 2. One smaller room with an Ikea Queen size bed > 3. A back room with two single beds > The adjacent R Annexe with a common low wall has a small kitchenette and: 4. One room with two beds. 5. Another medium room with two beds. 6. A small room with a single bed . (All have attached bathrooms) TOILETRIES : Post-Covid NO TOWELS nor TOILETRIES provided. Since Health Faucets are available in each bathroom Toilet paper is discouraged as it tends to block the septic sewage tank . (However you may bring your own). Also do carry your own medications etc. * Electronics/Connectivity : NoTV, Nor WIFI is available NETWORK is fair. ** FOOD AVAILABILITY : No cooking nor food is catered . Only common area kettle and drinking water dispenser are provided with basic dining crockery and cutlery in the mini galley upstairs near the dining area> There is a microwave, tiny fridge upstairs in the galley> No Cooking facilities unless guests want to get down and dirty and use the outdoor firewood burning chulha stove . However A. Eating places are available within 3 km . B . Few of these do have home delivery. C.. Swiggy is also available but with limited choices D . If you are lucky , Mohanan , my local caretaker , may be able to provide home cooked Kerala food . He probably may supply breakfast at least ...can't guarantee that . And charcoal and stuff... (P.S: I have an old pup tent too) Collect fallen braches and drift wood and have a small beach campfire ... Strum your own guitar, blow your own trumpet , play the mouth organ under the moon and stars .. and sing and dance away the night with not a care in the world .... Howl at the full moon without inhibition ... Afer all YOLO ...ZNMD. ... and yes.... you can thank me later ...and plan your next repeat trips with family and friends !!!! .....
