The space This yurt is the second yurt of this small-scale Yurt Retreat, located in a wide meadow in the beautiful Achterhoek. Here, in the middle of nature, you will experience ultimate peace and freedom. The yurts are far apart, giving you complete privacy. No one can look inside and you can also enjoy the surroundings undisturbed on the terrace. The private sanitary facilities are located directly next to the yurt. The yurt feels like a warm embrace. The interior radiates serenity and harmony, with soft tones, natural materials and a stylish, well-thought-out design. As soon as you step inside, the round space embraces you with its special energy. The security of the yurt has a calming effect and gives you the feeling that you are completely at home here. The yurt is designed for two people and offers everything you need for a comfortable and atmospheric stay. Sustainability and natural materials are central, without sacrificing luxury and convenience. The yurt is fully furnished and equipped with all the comforts, with an eye for detail and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Around the yurt is a spacious wooden terrace, partly enclosed with a fence and plants. This is your private place in nature, with a wide view over the landscape. Here you will find a comfortable lounge set and a dining table, ideal for enjoying a relaxing breakfast or a long summer evening under the stars. On the terrace you will also find the private sanitary facilities, consisting of an eco-dry toilet and a luxurious wooden outdoor shower. Showering under the open sky, with the fresh outside air around you, is an experience in itself! This is glamping in its purest form. For your convenience, we provide soft bathrobes, a towel set and a range of eco-friendly care products. And that starry sky? It is spectacular here. From bed you look through the roof dome at a sparkling firmament. When the moon is full, you can even look straight at the moon! It’s like sleeping under a blanket of stars – a magical experience you won’t soon forget. Each season brings a different experience. In winter, it’s wonderfully cosy by the wood-burning stove, which keeps the yurt warm and cosy. Wind, rain or snow – you feel safe and comfortable inside. In the warmer months, life moves outside and you feel at one with nature. We provide convenience and luxury: bed, bath and kitchen linen, eco-care products and all basic necessities such as toilet paper, candles, coffee, tea, oil and herbs are provided. The compact kitchen is fully equipped, including a fridge and gas stove. The wood-burning stove provides cosy warmth and is easy to use. A manual helps you to stoke safely and efficiently according to the Swiss method. Wood and firelighters are always available. And the right tools are available to chop wood yourself – an authentic experience in itself. A winter stay in Yurt Sirius is extra special. Thanks to the double layer of felt insulation and the modern wood stove, it stays wonderfully warm. We adapt the bedding to the weather conditions and provide extra blankets. In case of severe frost, there is an extra electric heater. In case of extreme frost, the outdoor shower may be temporarily out of use, but we always look for a possibility to be able to shower during the day. Do you want to explore the area? There are bicycles for rent and many beautiful walking and cycling routes start directly from the site. Visit the nearby Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Doesburg or the idyllic town of Bronkhorst. For groceries, there is a supermarket and farm shop within cycling distance, and there are plenty of cozy places to eat in the area. This is a place to get away from everyday life, to enjoy nature and above all: to have time for each other. Guest access There are three yurts, they are very far apart, you have complete privacy. Each yurt is for a maximum of two people (adults-only). Yurt and sanitary facilities are entirely for your own use. Yurt Sirius is the middle of the three yurts. There is a central parking lot at the farm, from there you walk through the meadow to the yurt. Don't worry, there are no cows in the meadow. There is no paved path. There is a handcart to transport luggage. Public transport to this address is limited. Other things to note Reservations are only possible for a maximum of two people; the yurt is not suitable for groups, children, or pets. The yurt is comfortable and luxurious, but it remains a tent: you're staying in the heart of nature and may hear sounds such as birds, wind, and occasionally activities from the surrounding farmland, which follow no fixed schedule. We always aim to consider our guests' presence. If major work or events are planned that were not known at the time of booking, we will inform you in advance and offer the option to reschedule free of charge. In case of extreme weather forecasts (such as storms, heavy wind gusts, or prolonged frost), where we cannot guarantee safety or the functioning of key facilities (especially water), we will contact you to discuss a possible free rescheduling.
