This beautiful cottage enjoys an enviable position with scenic views over Holmfirth. Situated on the hill to the south of the village of Holmfirth, a short stroll takes you down to the many quirky shops, bars and restaurants (within 0.5 miles). Fans of The Last of The Summer Wine TV series will enjoy seeing the location for Sid’s Cafe, just down the path from the cottage. Watch a show at the Picturedrome or book a wine-tasting tour at Holmfirth's own vineyard. The space Surrounded by stunning scenery, the area is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with both the Peak District National Park and Pennine Way on the doorstep, so walkers and cyclists will be spoilt for choice. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wentworth Castle and the Hepworth Gallery are all within 16 miles and worth visiting. Ideally located for walkers and cyclists alike, the Trans Pennine Trail is easily reached from the cottage (within 3.5 miles). As you enter the cottage you will be greeted by the spacious kitchen/dining area which is fully equipped with contemporary appliances and has ample space to whip up a delicious meal. Enjoy your food at the dining table while making plans for the next day's adventures, after which you can relax on the plump sofas in the lounge. There is a Smart TV to enjoy a good film and a lovely bureau equipped with maps and books telling you everything you need to know about the area. Enjoy gazing out the window across the village to the hills beyond. From here, the stairs lead to the first floor (please mind your head as the ceiling is low). The three bedrooms provide great sleeping arrangements: a twin room which can be made up as a king if you wish and two doubles. The bathroom completes the accommodation. Outside, guests can enjoy a small seating area at the front with more views. At the rear of the property is a slightly raised seating area where you can relax and watch the sheep which wander the hills. An outhouse provides secure cycle storage.
