Home in Charlottesville

Enjoy your own private suite in our beautifully renovated home in the heart of downtown Charlottesville! It's just a few steps to the gourmet restaurants of our Belmont neighborhood, or a few minutes walk to the bustling downtown pedestrian mall with all the restaurants, boutiques, music and farmers markets that Charlottesville has to offer. We are close to Monticello, the University of Virginia, the Blue Ridge mountains and plenty of hiking or wine tasting. The space Open the lockbox to get the key and let yourself in the front door. Your guest suite is upstairs, with a master bedroom, a private outdoor deck, and your own private bathroom just outside your bedroom door. There is a curtain to pull across the stairs for more privacy. The bedroom has a queen size memory foam mattress, 4 pillows, cotton sheets, two comfy chairs, dresser and mirror, ceiling fan, luggage rack, and a closet with extra blankets. There is also a white noise machine to help you sleep if necessary. There is a small fridge, a microwave, a keurig coffee maker and a Britta water pitcher. You'll also find dishes and silverware for two, as well as granola bars, sugar, tea and some half and half in the fridge. Guest access The house key is in a lockbox on the porch. We live downstairs and may or may not be home. Your suite is upstairs, and you can draw a curtain across the stairwell for added privacy. Our kitchen is generally not available to guests, although we can discuss an exception if necessary. There is a washer and dryer and iron in your bathroom and you are welcome to use them. There is also a second room upstairs, my art studio, which I might occasionally use while you are out during the daytime. During your stay We'll likely be in and out throughout the weekend. We are happy to answer any texts/calls with questions you might have if we are not home. Other things to note We have one cat, Chloe. She is not allowed in your spaces, although she does sometimes go upstairs. We also have a few dogs that live with us. They are ALWAYS contained in a crate or our suite if we are not home and at night, so you should feel comfortable coming and going! The dogs usually go to a cabin for the weekend so you may not meet them.
