There are steps on the property to go to the beach-just 5-8 minute hike down! We’re close enough to town to take advantage of it's amenities but enough away to be secluded and private to escape+enjoy the tranquility of peaceful vibes and vast majestic 180 degree ocean views. There is a driveway to the house but the road is still being worked on. But you can park at the driveway entrance. Accessing the house requires a hike up, some parts are steep or downward slope on gravel path. A good level of fitness to hike up the trail is required! Heavy luggage/rolling luggage not recommended. There are gates on the property for privacy! The is a lot of land space around the house to just walk around or relax and watch the wildlife. Plus a path with trail old trees back of the property for a stroll. Some level of fitness is needed to hike up and down the property to the main road/beach. You can order a taxi to pick you up from the road above or down below. Tours leave this area daily to Corcovado National Park and Caño Island/snorkling/diving/fishing/ sunsets tours all available- let us know we can help book these in advance for you, especially during high season. Booking guest Must Be Verified before reservations. Please note that bottom access does require hiking up the trail -5-10 minute hike up! (Please note-some spots are steep). Top access- 5 minute hike slight downward slope to property. If driving to Drakes Bay, please allocate an extra 1 hour than what the GPS says. Also, please If you are driving please note you should arrive before 5 PM. A 4x4 is required If you are driving up the back road to the top of the property that road has has a steep incline in the beginning and some curves and Costa Rica holes that may be difficult to see at night time especially for the first time. But of course we’re all about adventure here so it is not so difficult-just use caution. People drive up and down all day- and the road is constantly going through improvements. The main road in the town does not require a 4x4. Parking is available both at the bottom trail and the top area. We are in a remote nature location. We cannot be liable for any one’s injuries. The beach right in front of the property, is a Beach/ocean access is just a short 5 to 8 min hike down from the house (free parking right at beach). Accessing the house does require some level of fitness. The town center is about 10 minute walking- there are several restaurants and supermarkets, along the way. Driving to town will take you just a couple of minutes-using the back road or the road down below. A 4X4 is required for our dirt roads. Local taxis are also available if you don't want to walk or drive. Stores and restaurants will also deliver if you don't feel like going anywhere. (note some level of fitness is required to hike the property path down and up).
