A cozier way to camp! The 14' foot fully furnished Traveler tent is located on my quiet 5 acre property located 4-minutes from Lake Michigan and Warren Dunes and within walking distance to downtown Sawyer. Fresh farm eggs delivered to your private mailbox (when the girls are producing) for you to cook up over the fire or on the community propane grill. All of my 4 sites are each located in a private alcove surrounded by trees and nature. Our bell tents are the first and only convenient camping experience in and around Harbor Country complete with unique furnishings, fire pit, solar shower bag, coffee, a cooler, a community propane grill, pots and pans for cooking, utensils, plates and bowls, water supply, and a cozy bed. All you'll need is your belongings, firewood for the fire pit, groceries, ice, water, bug spray and beverages. The two markets just down the road can provide all of the above! The tent will comfortably sleep 2 guests on a full bed. If additional guests are joining you, please bring your own bedding, pillows and an air mattress if you’d prefer to not sleep on the floor. At this time, we need all guests to bring all blankets and pillows. Also, there are mosquitoes. There may even be bugs in the tent. I’ve planted bug, spider and mosquito deterrent (mint) outside of the tent but it is nature. They may creep in. I don’t feel comfortable spraying pesticide. But will do what I can naturally to help deter. If there's something that you forgot, chances are we'll have it. So feel free to ask us! You're welcome to explore our trails near the tent! Nature surrounds your private space. We're happy to accommodate you with things to do, places to eat and tips on all of the happenings in and around Sawyer and Harbor Country! Come on up to the main house if you have any questions. Or just give me a call. Sawyer is a 4-minute drive to Lake Michigan and Warren Dunes with downtown Sawyer spanning the length of a football field (maybe a few added yard sticks.) With a personality as seasoned as any town across the country, century old buildings now house the Sawyer Market, offering all of the grocery basics you'll need as well as homemade Indian food made fresh every Thursday. Sawyer Garden Center, a palatial pit stop, provides stalls of fresh local produce and specialty food items, and Greenbush Brewery, drafting up some of the best beer around. Sideyard is a local favorite complete with a cold cocktails, good food, an outdoor seating area, ping pong table and fire pits. And if you're looking for an amazing place for dinner and cocktails, look no further than The Historian Lounge on Red Arrow Highway. Deee-lish. Also, be sure to visit Infusco Coffee for a hot or cold-pressed cup of coffee. And just beyond downtown Sawyer, pop into The Peasants Pantry for fabulous baked goods and to grab some tasty take out for a picnic on the beach. Take approximately 300 steps up and down the sidewalks (give or take) and you'll be sure to find almost everything that you could possibly need while being greeted by some of the nicest people around. This is my Downtown. Hope you love it as much as I do! Car, bike or walk. Uber and Lyft are sporadic around these parts. There are also wine bus tours available to take you to the local wineries/breweries. Highly recommended. :) There is a portable outdoor toilet and solar bag shower near the tent. No running water or electricity. Our solar string lights, battery operated candles and lanterns will provide cozy lighting. The fire pit and community propane grill are onsite for cooking up meals. Camp style. Nothing too fancy. But all camping essentials will be available. We do have a rooster and a duck. Though they tend to stay in the pen with our chickens on the other side of the property, they can be loud. Look at it as them just saying hello. :) We also have some barn cats, a couple of ducks, and an amazing dog named Bubba. The cats may wander over to say hello. But we'll keep Bubba away during your visit. Though we have a menagerie of animals, they are all located on the opposite side of the property.
