You'll enjoy many of the top games from 1980 until about 2010. There are two full-size arcade cabinet games. They are modern reproductions but the joysticks and button action feel as fun as the old classics. Enjoy games like PacMan, Dig Dug, Galaga, Street Fighter, X-Men, and Marvel Super Heroes on those machines. Up in the loft geek out on an original Super Nintendo (SNES) on vintage CRT TV with games like Mario All Stars (play all your old favorite Mario games), Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Mortal Kombat, Ninja Turtles, Batman, Primal Rage, NBA Live, and more. BATHTUBS There are two bathtubs in the house, a standard size one on the first floor and an extra large one upstairs in the master bath. Treat yourself with a nice hot soak. WOODSTOVE While there are supplemental heaters in the house, this home was designed to be heated via woodstove. Get ready to get a warm drink, curl up by the fire, read a book or catch up with an old friend. The firewood is provided. Note due to fire risk the woodstove may only be used from November to April. WILDLIFE & ORCHARD There is an abundance of wildlife here. Some favorites are deer, turkey, and salamanders. We are working to clear out the overgrown sections of the forest and establish meadows in more open sections. We are also rehabilitating a very small old orchard to bear fruit again. HISTORY This house has a fun bit of history. The family that started Sierra Nevada Brewery (our region’s largest business and absolute pride of the community) lived in this house when they started the brewery. Many stylistic elements of this home are felt in the brewery’s restaurant, The Taproom, that was built after the family built this place. Much of our decor was designed to give subtle nods to the brewery building and some of the beer labels. A tour of the brewery is HIGHLY recommended during your stay. PERSONAL HOME This is our personal home. We typically make it available to rent when our older children who split households are not here. Guest access The home shares the property with a studio cabin. We typically stay in the Little House when the main home is booked. However, occasionally both units will be rented and there can be a second set of guests on the property. Each space feels private of one another.
