Toucan Room at Rock Farm Guest House

Rock Farm is close to Belmopan, and is home to Belize Bird Rescue. We have amazing grounds, river swimming, jungle trails and lots of birds and wildlife. Rock Farm is suitable for singles, couples and older families, and a perfect stopover en route to and from the airport. We are 1 mile from Roaring River Golf Course and centrally located for Cave Tubing, Mayan ruins, ATM Cave and the attractions of Western and Hummingbird Highways. The space The Toucan room is a gorgeous sunny room with king-sized bed and fabulous closet space for the long-staying travellers. It is air-conditioned for that hot season comfort. There’s a double glass door opening out onto your private verandah with table and chairs. The en-suite bathroom has both a shower and a Jacuzzi tub, it’s fully tiled with double wash-basins and has piping hot water. The windows in your room have gorgeous garden views and you wake daily to the sounds of the parrots and other birds. We provide a large bottle of mineral water on a dispenser, plus tea and coffee making facilities. An iron and ironing board are in the room should you need to get rid of any suitcase wrinkles. There is wifi throughout the house and also a wired internet access point in your room for more speed. Guest access The Toucan Room guests have their private balcony and in addition the shared balcony and access to the shared lounge and dining area. Everyone is welcome to explore absolutely anywhere on the property apart from areas where birds are being rehabbed. We give guided tours of certain areas of the rehab centre and can certainly tell you all about our hands-on work with the birds and the projects we run throughout the year. Float down the lazy river or swim in the pools by the water wheel, walk the trails, sit by the pond, sunbathe on the roof... whatever takes your fancy. Other things to note There is a TV with stored movies and some cable access available in the communal living room. Air B&B prices do not include the 9% government Hotel Tax Some tours require advanced notice - if you would like to tour ATM Caves or go Cave Tubing, let us know before your arrival or as soon as possible after so we can help you set that up. ATM cave tour should cost you no more than $110US per person
