The space If you’re looking for a staycation that offers something a little different, you’ll fall in love with this unique and romantic retreat, peacefully nestled amongst nature — and welcoming both dogs and children. Surrounded by the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia National Park, Tŷ Bara (The Baker’s Cottage) is perfectly placed for exploring the area on foot, by bike or by car, with numerous scenic walking trails right on your doorstep — ideal for both two-legged and four-legged adventurers. If you’d rather stay closer to home, a charming rustic village pub is just a five-minute stroll away. On warmer days, enjoy dining alfresco in the secluded front garden (BBQ provided, should you feel brave enough to grill a few sausages), or settle in at the cosy indoor dining table. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a relaxed stay, including a hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. You’ll also find a selection of herbs, spices and condiments, along with tea, sugar, filter coffee and even whole coffee beans if you prefer to grind your own. If staying in is more your style, the large inglenook fireplace is the true heart of Tŷ Bara, transforming it into a warm and inviting haven. Perfect for winter nights by the fire or relaxed summer evenings indoors. For entertainment, there’s an Amazon Fire TV with Sky, all the usual streaming apps and the ability to mirror your phone, as well as board games for a laid-back night in. Sink into the sofa, pour a glass of wine and unwind. An Alexa device is also available to control the lighting, play music or tune into the radio (and can be unplugged if you’d prefer not to use it). The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed with peaceful views across the hills at the front of the cottage. The second bedroom offers a smaller double bed, making the space ideal for couples, small families or friends travelling together. We want to make sure that your fur baby feels just as at home as you do. A dog bed, blanket, bowls and a selection of dog treats are provided, so you can pack light and settle straight in after a day of exploring. For guests travelling with little ones, a cot bed and high chair are available, making the cottage a comfortable and practical choice for families with young children.
