Up to two guests and four canine companions can stay in this rural property close to nature reserves, waterfalls and charming countryside villages. Spend your evenings dining alfresco in the garden or snuggle up in front of the fire in the characterful open-plan living space. The space Make yourself at home in the traditional country cottage-style lounge/kitchen/diner with exposed stone walls and vaulted wooden beamed ceilings. Natural light pours through the French doors into the cosy lounge area with a sofa in front of the TV and a wood burner. On the other side of the space is an intimate dining table for two beside the one-wall fitted kitchen with wooden cabinets and sparkling countertops. Also on the ground floor is a shower room. Climb the spiral staircase to reach the mezzanine containing a double bed with elevated views of the valley. Outside, you’ll find a garden with furniture and a BBQ. There is off-road parking for one car. During your stay on the outskirts of the village of Flash, you’ll be just 3 miles from the calming cascades of the Three Shires Head hiking area. Spend an afternoon exploring the mystical Lud’s Church (5 miles) and follow the walking trail past Bearstone Rock scenic point to the summit of The Roaches, a mountain peak 5 miles away. Head to Buxton (6 miles) for a meal out at one of the cosy pubs or try some afternoon tea at the picturesque rural villages of Castleton (15.5 miles) or Edale (17.5 miles).
