Rustic jungle getaway Miraflores

Stay in the heart of Playa Chiquita in the midst of nature. A great stay for those who want to hear and experience the sounds and sights of the jungle as if camping outdoors. Conveniently located near delicious restaurants, beautiful beaches, and many other activities to immerse yourself in the Caribbean Pura Vida lifestyle. The space This apartment is the second floor of a two-level building. The owner of the former Miraflores lodge, Pamela, lives on the first floor. She operated neighboring Miraflores lodge from 1987 until 2023 until the building was sold to its current owner. This house was built to be ecologically-minded and allows guests to feel in tune with nature. Guests are able to hear and see howler monkeys, insects, geckos, and sloths who are our natural neighbors in the jungle of Playa Chiquita. With that in mind, travelers should be prepared to be comfortable with open air rooms throughout the apartment and beds with mosquito nets. Life in the jungle means that there may be insects flying around and geckos scurrying on the walls. The moisture in the air causes linens and clothes to take longer to dry and feel a bit damp compared to more dry environments. Guest access Guests access the apartment through a stairway on the right side of the building. Guests have their own entryway next to the outdoor shower. Other things to note Both beds can be made up to be king beds or two twins depending on guest needs. The kitchen in the upstairs apartment is a kitchenette (gas stove, refrigerator, electric kettle, sink) but the downstairs full kitchen may be shared for use of the oven upon request.
