Enjoy sitting on the front porch of this Circa 1800 home in the heart of the village of Granville. Once featured in country living magazine and continues to be meticulously maintained. The space 1846 Historical Home - story and a half with lower-level with open concept kitchen and family room. 1500 square foot Home has been thoughtfully updated over the last 30 years by current owner - retaining original character and charm. We have lots of windows to allow natural light in every room in the house except the lower level. We have 2 gas fireplaces - with easy remote controls with on/off settings. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and everything to make you feel at home including coffee maker/keurig and complimentary coffee. The nostalgic front porch has 4 rockering chairs. The brick back patio has a gas grill, outdoor dining table and sitting area for gathering. Fenced yard provides safety for pets and younger children. There are 3 bedrooms with queen beds and 1 bedroom with 2 twin size beds. The upper level of the home has a loft style queen bedroom and a sister bedroom with 2 twin beds separated by a barn door and a half bathroom. This old house does not have a hallway between bedrooms but is excellent for families and friends to share this space. The first floor queen bedroom has exposed original beams and barn doors for privacy. The first floor full bathroom has original clawfoot tub with shower combination and is not en-suite. The lower level queen bedroom has original exposed beams, gas fireplace and full bathroom with shower. It’s super quiet and dark - excellent for a great night’s sleep!💤 We allow up to 10 people and have a nice queen-size electric blow-up mattress and a comfy couch in family room. The price listed is for 2 guests. We have a small $35.00 per person per night fee for additional guests - cost effective for larger groups vs hotel stay. We have extra bedding and multiple types of pillows to keep you cozy and comfortable. Our bathrooms are small yet functional with great hot water/water pressure. We provide complimentary bathroom essentials for your convenience! We have high speed internet, and 3 televisions with Apple TV and cable options. We have a long driveway with up to 5 spaces for parking. Stairs are required to enter the house from driveway to back porch as well as the front porch. Guest access Entire Home Other things to note The house has stairs from the sidewalk to the front porch entrance. The back door entrance also requires stairs up from the driveway to enter the home. We do have a side entrance from driveway into the lower level of the house. Once inside the lower level there are steps inside to main floor. The price listed is for 2 guests. We do charge a small fee $35.00 per person per night after 2 guests and can accommodate up to 10 maximum. The Carriage House is not available for guests per the Village of Granville short term rental guidelines/permit. We the owners may need to access it during your stay but we will let you know and keep this to a minimum to ensure your privacy.
