The Longhorn Lodge at Aussie Acres Ranch

Welcome to Aussie Acres Ranch, a 45 acre working cattle ranch and the only farm stay in the Southeast featuring beautiful Texas longhorns. The Longhorn Lodge provide nearly 1500 sq ft, in a 2-story private guest house offering beautiful sunset views overlooking the pastures, a balcony with views across the ranch and the 6 acre pond, and a wide variety of activities, many complimentary. Enjoy a true escape to the country with space for the entire family or a weekend retreat with friends. The space With nearly 1,500 SF, the Longhorn Lodge provides a spacious yet cozy place to enjoy, plus outside areas like a private patio with firepit, balcony, stocked lake and trails to explore in over 25 acres of woods. We want our guests to come to the ranch and immediately feel at home on their farm away from home. Two full kitchens include coffee, and tea plus cooking tools and appliances. Early check-in and late weekend checkout can be requested in advance, and if available, we are happy to accommodate. The Space The Longhorn Lodge is a private 2-bedroom, 2-bath guest house offering 2 floors for you and your group to feel completely at home. Enjoy 2 full kitchens and 2 full baths, with 2 eating areas, a large open concept living area, private patio, private balcony, and an array of amenities. The first floor living area features a queen bed, sitting area that can open to a full bed, nook with a small table and chairs for young children, incredible eat-in kitchen with bay window overlooking a pasture, full bath, full size W/D with laundry supplies, and direct access to private patio with seating for 4 and a firepit On the 2nd floor, there is a large open concept space with a full kitchen, dining area, sitting area with 50” smart TV, full bath, private queen bedroom, L-shaped sofa that opens to full bed, and a small balcony overlooking the property for morning coffee Ranch Activities Guests staying at Aussie Acres have access to the wooded area (25 acres) and can wander around the ranch and visit with the animals. Follow the instructions provided at check-in and under our house rules for interacting with the animals. Outdoors, guests have a private firepit with 4 Adirondack chairs, private balcony, and access to our lake for fishing. At the green Game Shack a variety of lawn games. The forest is a short walk from the house. We are a working ranch with Texas Longhorns behind fencing. Guests wanting to explore should plan to bring boots that can get dirty and bug repellent for walks in the woods, though we have some provided. Guest access A nature lovers paradise, the property has 45 acres of pastures and forest to explore. Quiet and serene with access to a 6 acre stocked pond with dock and the peninsula offering 2 Adirondack chairs with the best views on the ranch. The only farm stay in the Southeast featuring beautiful Texas longhorns. Hiking: You can take a walk around the lake and take paths to explore the 25 acres Relaxation: There is a picnic table and swing by the lake. Fishing: Bring our own poles or use poles and lures provided Outdoor Games: Cornhole, horseshoes, and croquet available in Game Shack Sunsets: On your private patio or out the kitchen bay window Stargazing: On a clear night - AMAZING! Birding/Wildlife: We also have a variety of birds and wildlife on the property Photography: From animals and wildlife to a wide variety or trees, flowers, or other natural beauty, and of course great photo ops for your family! Fruit and Nut Trees: On property we have Asian Pears, Peaches, Persimmons, Pomegranates, Pecans, Chestnuts - feel free to pick and enjoy anything in season There are a variety of additional paid experiences/packages that must be booked in advance based on weather and availability. Guest access In addition to the LonghornLodge, guests at Aussie Acres Ranch have access to their own private patio, the 6 acre stocked pond for fishing, equipment avaiable onsite, access to our Game Shack includes lawn games (cornhole, croquet, and horseshoes). In addition, there are 25 acres for exploration. As a working cattle ranch, any interactions with our Texas longhorns must be coordinated through us. In addition to all of this, we offer a variety of additional paid experiences to enhance your stay and create even more memories!
