Maison La Damoiselle in Puisaye, Burgundy

Whether you are with family, a couple or friends, La Damoiselle opens its doors for a stay in Burgundy. Nestled in the heart of a peaceful village, this peaceful retreat offers an ideal setting to recharge your batteries and enjoy the cultural riches of the region. In love with flea markets and decoration, I have passionately gathered objects and furniture to create a warm atmosphere and a cozy universe that resembles me. The space My 125 m2 house will be fully at your disposal to ensure you have a pleasant stay, with all the comforts you need. From the entrance, you will discover a space dedicated to the storage of your coats, bags and shoes, as well as an independent toilet. A cozy living room awaits you, equipped with a fireplace to enjoy an aperitif by the fire (wood for a fire provided). To enhance your stay, a radio, vinyl turntable, board games for young and old and books are at your disposal. The equipped and functional kitchen (oven, microwave, dishwasher, induction cooktop, washing machine, raclette machine, toaster, kettle, dolce gusto pod machine, nespresso and starbuck, juice press, grocery store: salt, pepper, oil...) will allow you to prepare your meals freely, with direct access to the garden. Take the stone staircase, a real masterpiece of my house, and you will discover a landing arranged as a reading corner (games and books for children). Three carefully decorated bedrooms await you, as well as a bathroom equipped bathroom with a bathtub and toilet (hair dryer, shower product) for your comfort. Linens included: ♡ beds made upon arrival for immediate comfort, ♡ a hand towel provided for each guest, ♡ tea towel and apron available for a practical kitchen. Enjoy the garden! An outdoor space designed for relaxing moments: ♡ large table for outdoor dining, ideal for sharing friendly grills or game nights, ♡ garden furniture with armchairs and sofa for an aperitif ♡ 4 sun loungers for relaxing or reading in the shade of the cherry tree, ♡ a large umbrella, ♤ a charcoal grill for your grilling evenings Free Wi-Fi connection. The rental includes a private outdoor parking space along the house (and you will have access to free parking located in the immediate vicinity (behind the church). The garden gate will remain closed. Guest access My entire house is reserved for you. Enjoy your stay! Other things to note In the village you will find: • a bakery for fresh bread, cakes and pastries • a delicatessen where I highly recommend ordering their excellent roast chicken • a grocery store open 7 days a week for all your daily needs. For nature lovers, a hiking trail begins in front of the cemetery at the entrance to the village. For gourmets: the cow on wheels (schedule to be checked) a dairy farm where you can buy cheese, milk, yogurt and homemade ice cream. A pizza truck stops in the parking lot in front of the bakery every Monday. Their pizzas are delicious. Below are some must-see sites around La Damoiselle (which I have all had the pleasure of visiting): 📸 Toucy: 15 minutes from the cottage. Town full of history: St Pierre church, tour de la Magdeleine, half-timbered houses, tourist train, the most beautiful market in the region every Saturday morning. A recycling center open on Wednesdays and Saturdays after noon. There are also two supermarkets and a gas station and restaurants. 📸 for wine lovers: Coulanges-la-vineuse 14 minutes away, Irancy 25 minutes away, Chablis 42 minutes away, Epineuil and Tonnerre 58 minutes away 📸 Auxerre: 30 minutes from the gite. Cultural and tourist capital. It has a medieval and renaissance historical heritage. You have to get lost in its many streets and enjoy a walk by the water. 📸 Château Guédelon: 20 minutes from the cottage. About forty workers are taking up an extraordinary challenge: to build a fortified castle today according to the techniques and with the materials used in the Middle Ages. Open from March 30 to November 3. 📸 Saint Sauveur en Puisaye: city of character very close to the cottage, 17 minutes away. Picturesque, village of the novelist Colette (museum, birthplace). It's nice to stroll through the pretty streets of the village. 📸 In Treigny Perreuse St Colombe, 25 minutes from the gite, you will find ✔️ the Bois de la Folie adventure park (tree course, paintball) ✔️ the Boutissaint Nature Park (400 animals in the wild) ✔️ and the Château de Ratilly (Medieval fortress, private art center. One wing of the castle is dedicated to the production and sale of sandstone). 📸 Lac du Bourdon 25 minutes from the gite towards Saint-Fargeau: for water activities such as sailing, canoeing, fishing, pedal boats, paddle boarding and swimming. I had the opportunity to discover the lake inn, which offers a culinary experience in a quiet environment overlooking the lake. 📸 La Fabuloserie in Dicy: a little further away, but definitely worth a visit (48 minutes from the gite), is an "extraordinary" place that will amaze young and old. I won't tell you any more to preserve the surprise, but believe me, you won't be disappointed! 📸 Saint-Fargeau 30 minutes from the cottage. To visit: its castle (with shows during certain periods), its belfry and its educational farm (I recommend) for young and old. 📸 The picturesque village of Druyes-les-belles-fontaines, 16 minutes from the gite. It is one of the most beautiful villages in the department with its fortified castle built on the limestone promontory, a Romanesque church, a washhouse and a viaduct. 📸 Noyers sur Serin: classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, it is 48 minutes from the gite. With its cobblestone streets, lined with half-timbered houses on arcades, it's like being in a historical movie set.  📸 Marvel at the beauty of Vézelay, one of the most beautiful villages in France, located 45 minutes from the gîte. 📸 a little further away but not to be missed, 50 minutes away, the 7 locks of Rogny.
